The victory of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 NBA Finals now puts pressure on the Cleveland Browns to perform better in the next NFL season. With the championship curse supposedly broken by LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, JR Smith and Kevin Love, there remains no reason for the city's football team to perform badly. Moreover, the entry of elite quarterback Robert Griffin III into the Cleveland Browns roster should be able to boost the playoffs and Super Bowl chances of the NFL team. However, it looks like the football squad aims to seal the deal by adding yet another beloved star in their roster - Tim Tebow.

The Christian star, who worked out with the Philadelphia Eagles and started for the Denver Broncos in the past, is said to be the secret weapon of the Cleveland Browns. Given the root of the issues of Robert Griffin III last NFL season, it comes as no surprise that the football team is looking into ways that a repeat of such behavior will not be possible. Moreover, the scarred history of the Cleveland Browns in the hands of Johnny Manziel pushed the fans to yearn for a clean cut and disciplined star to take the lead. Will Tim Tebow be the answer to these woes?

Before the Cleveland Browns came into the picture, Tim Tebow had been linked to other NFL teams this offseason including the Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles. However, the recent turn of events in the college football recruitment circuit gave some fans the idea of Tebow possibly signing with the Cleveland Browns by the next NFL season.

In their recruitment posters, Ohio State used quotes from Tim Tebow to lure football stars in their roster. The words, which the Heisman Trophy star said in relation to coach Urban Myer, were superimposed in a poster of Tebow. Since the Christian star is a graduate of Florida, this action from the Ohio staff caused quite a stir.

Really, Florida wasn't really in the picture until they hired him,"Tim Tebow said of Meyer in an earlier interview. The former Denver Broncos star added, "He single-handedly worked harder than any other coach to recruit me, and he was so passionate about it.The stuff that he would say, you could see in his eyes there was something special in him and in his heart. He believed in me, and he made me believe in myself even more. He would say, 'We can do this. We can win a national championship. You come here and we'll do it.'"

While the comments were made way back when Tebow became a household name in the NFL, fans of the Cleveland Browns are still hopeful that the Christian star will land in their team. Moreover, the recent comments of Tebow in relation to his football career appear to keep doors open for a return.

"I think that's one that's really important is life is that we pursue our passions," shared Tebow in an interview with Larry King. He added, "You pursue what's on your heart, you pursue what you're passionate about. And for me, the game of football is the position of quarterback."

What do you think? Should the Cleveland Browns consider signing Tim Tebow as a potential RG3 backup? Will the Christian star prove to be an added strength to the roster?
