According to reports, the Denver Broncos are now ready to start Trevor Siemian as the head into Week 6. That means for the upcoming game against the San Diego Chargers, he will lead the team instead of Paxton Lynch.

Siemian was forced to sit out the Week 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons last week due to an injury to his throwing shoulder. Because of this, the Broncos had no other choice but to play Lynch, the first round draft pick this year, as the temporary starting quarterback.

Based on the results of that game, Siemien's absence made a huge impact on the Denver organization. Under the leadership of Lynch, the Broncos lost to the Falcons 16 to 23. This marked the team's first loss in the 2016 NFL season.

Due to the loss which ended the winning streak of the Broncos, the team has reportedly decided to play Siemian in Week 6, according to NFL insider Ian Rappaport.

"My understanding is Trevor Siemian is expected to be the starter for the Broncos on Thursday night," he said. "That really was the plan going into Sunday. Have Paxton Lynch, the first-round quarterback, start, give Trevor Siemian a couple of days to heal for the Chargers on Thursday night, and then let Siemian go back out there."

The plan seems like a good strategy for the Broncos in order to stop their single loss from multiplying into a full-blown losing streak. However, since Siemian only had about over a week to rest and recover from his injury, it is not yet clear if he will be fully in shape once the upcoming game against the Chargers kick off.

If things don't go well for the Broncos, they could end up exposing Siemian to more pain and possibly a more serious injury. Aside from the welfare of the athlete, this could also affect the entire organization since they will be left without their starting quarterback. If this happens, they'll have no other choice but to rely on Lynch.

As what was shown during the game against the Falcons, Lynch still needs a bit more time to hone his skills on the professional field.
