NFL Rumors: Washington Redskins Re-Signing Jeremy Harris Following Josh Norman’s Injury

Although the Washington Redskins won Sunday's game against the Baltimore Redskins, the team is currently facing a huge problem in the form of Josh Norman's injury. Depending on the cornerback's decision, the team could look to sign someone from the free agency pool such as Jeremy Harris.

During the Week 5 game, Norman went down on the field face down. He was in serious pain as he kicked his legs. Although he was able to return to the Redskins' locker room on his own, it was reported that he suffered an injury to his right arm.

A few moments later during the second quarter, he returned to Washington's bench with a heavily taped and padded arm.

It is not yet clear just how serious Norman's injury is or if he will be in playing condition for Week 6 when the Redskins face the Philadelphia Eagles.

If things don't work out well for Norman, the team could look for someone to temporarily replace him. But since the team is already having problems with its lack of secondary depth, especially following the injury of Bashaud Breeland, the team might consider bringing someone in from free agency.

One of the team's options could be Harris. The 25-year-old athlete debuted in the NFL in 2013 after he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He spent a year with the team before joining the Kansas City Chiefs.

Eventually, Harris found himself signing with the Redskin's practice squad in November of last year. However, in August of this year, he was waived by the team. Since then, he has been a free agent in the NFL. He also became a member of the practice squad of the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League.

Although bringing in Harris might be a questionable move by the Redskins, this could be their only option for now given their current situation. They could turn to a possible trade deal but given the need for other teams to stock up on cornerbacks, it seems Washington will have a difficult time finding someone to swap with.

Hopefully though, the Redskins will be able to find a suitable solution to Norman's current condition.
