Hello Games really has something very unique with No Man's Sky, the procedurally generation universe exploration game. The game has such great potential as the player can literally explore the universe on their PC or Sony PS4, but several have been wondering if the game will come to the Xbox One and VR platforms. This is what is known about No Man's Sky release date and the Explorer's Edition.
A recent review from BGR stated that "No Man's Sky has the potential to be the best RPG ever made". It also stated that No Man's Sky isn't about following prewritten quests to level up, but the player can actually decide what role they play in the very massive universe.
Sean Murray, Hello Games Managing Director, does not seem to mind comparisons of this game to that of Minecraft. Both of those games encourage exploration of strange worlds, but No Man's Sky does require the character to choose who they want to be. It is possible to walk around one of the 18 quintillion planets, or travel to the center of the universe, or anything else. You can be the first person to name a creature or planet, provided it is something appropriate.
The issue is that you have been given the keys to a ship capable of hyperspace, so you can go anywhere and by just about anyone. Now, considering that the PS4 is getting Virtual Reality, and PCs will be getting the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, one would think that No Man's Sky would be the first in line for that. However, Sean Murray has said: "I don't know what I'm allowed to say...It's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe. I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let's put it that way."
Just like any other AAA video game, No Man's Sky will have at least one special collector's edition. The Vine Report says that there will be an Explorer's Edition that will cost $149.99 per pack. This will have a cast metal replica of the main ship in the game at a 1:35 scale, which will measure 8 inches in length and be hand-painted. It will also come with an "Atlas" display base as a stand, along with decorative decals for customization as well as a removable background display. The set also includes a PC game code via Steam or GOG that has Horizon Omega ship pre-order bonus. There will be only 10,000 of these Explorer's Editions made, which will feature a hard-enamel traveler pin, diorama display backdrop, and then a mystery item valued at $10.
It is possible to purchase a PS4 version of the game with exclusive bonus currency and early access to Rezosu Z65 for $79.99 on Gamestop. No Man's Sky is set for a release date in the United States for the PS4 and the PC on June 21st, then June 22nd in Europe, followed by June 24th in the UK. For those that believe that the game will be released on the Xbox One, keep holding out hope, as Tech Advisor states that it is not likely.
