The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a devastating loss 23 - 20 against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 of the regular NFL season. The sports commentator went on to point out, "Coach Mike Tomlin clearly didn't trust his kicker on a pair of fourth-down plays in overtime leading to the defeat. Scobee made just six of 10 field goal tries and missed one extra point in four games in Pittsburgh." Prior to signing up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Josh Scobee had been with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2004 to 2014 as the fifth round pick of the Blake Bortles squad. As a kicker in the Jacksonville Jaguars roster, Josh Scobee earned the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award four times.

To fill in the spot vacated by veteran kicker Josh Scobee, the Pittsburgh Steelers turned their attention to Houston Texans star Chris Boswell. Earlier reports indicate that Chris Boswell also worked out with the New York Jets this NFL offseason. It remains to be seen whether or not the former Houston Texans hopeful will land a permanent gig with the Pittsburgh Steelers this time. "Chris Boswell did a terrific job with Texans but they kept Randy Bullock," reported John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. The sports analyst added, "Boswell's last team was Giants. Maybe he'll win the job this time."
