Update: Check out the PlayStation Plus Free Games for April by clicking Here
So far, the official list of April 2015 PlayStation Plus free games for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita will not be released until April hits, but according to PlayStation Lifestyle, the PlayStation Blogcast team confirmed that Woah Dave! will be unofficially added to the Instant Game Collection Next Week.
If you are not familiar with Whoa Dave! It is a platform style video game developed by MiniVisions for many consoles, but not the mobile market. It was just released for the PlayStation Vita at the beginning of this year, and I would have to say that the game is quite...square. Screenshots of the video game seem to go for a retro look of eighties games on the Atari 2600, complete with blocky squares. The game has received some good reviews, so perhaps this will be a new fan favorite, especially with the free price for April.
It should be no surprise what game will also be available for the PlayStation Network. We have already reported that Dishonored is coming in April 2015. Chances are, we should not have known that, but PlayStation Lifestyle explains how fans and the rest of the world found this out.
What happened at the beginning of March was that PlayStation Europe posted the PlayStation Plus free games for March 2015, and the URL included a link to Dishonored, even though the game was not included in March's lineup. People began to assume that Dishonored would be included in the March free games package, but then it was switched. The PlayStation Europe Twitter account had to tweet that Dishonored would be one of the free PlayStation 3 games for April.
Dishonored is a game developed by Bethesda Softworks, and it has a very unusual look to it. It takes place in an industrial city of Dunwall, on some other world entirely, but it resembles Victorian London. For this reason, the game has a dark steampunk look that is pretty unique. The action is based on stealth and combat as the city is infected by a serious plague.
The rest of the full line-up of free games for PS Plus subscribers for April 2015 is due to be announced later this week, according to PSU (PlayStation Universe). Actually, I am surprised that it is not already here, and perhaps Sony is trying to out-do Microsoft's free game program.
For those that are not familiar with PlayStation Plus, it is a paid PlayStation Network subscription service to provide users with some great features including having game patches and system software updates download automatically to the console, as well as getting some betas and demos of new games, not to mention the store discounts and the already mentioned free games. The PlayStation online multiplayer requires a subscription to PlayStation Plus.
As for what Sony PlayStation Plus free games will be available for May 2015, there is no leak on that front just yet. For those on the PlayStation Plus network, I'm sure that you're looking forward to see what free games are available in both April and May of 2015.
