Pokémon Z Release Date, News and Update; Xerneas Is Pokemon of The Week

Pokemon Z Legendary Zygarde Has Five Forms; Oct. 29 Premiere of Pokemon XY & Z Makes Release Date of Pokemon Z 'Nearer'
Japanese magazine CoroCoro has released its latest edition revealing fresh details about the popular anime series Pokemon XY & Z which also provided more hints about the release date of the much anticipated video game, Pokemon Z. CoroCoro Magazine

The October edition of the Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro has been leaked and it provides some details about the much anticipated and highly speculated Pokémon Z. However, to the frustration of the millions of Pokémon fans, the magazine did not contain any information about the elusive release date of Pokémon Z.

Instead, CoroCoro revealed information about the Pokémon XY & Z anime instead, as well as the release of the Pokémon of the Week in commemoration of the new weekly anime beginning on October 29. Fans have to watch the show to get the serial codes of the Pokémon of the Week, reported Movie Plot.

According to the magazine, the first Pokémon of the Week will be Xerneas, which will be released during the initial telecast of Pokémon XY & Z to be followed by Yveltal then Zygarde. Here are the schedule of the release of the Pokémon of the Week and their abilities and powers:

  • October 29th: Xerneas. Level 100. Attacks: Geomancy, Moonblast, Aromatherapy and Focus Blast
  • November 5th: Yveltal. Level 100. Attacks: Oblivion Wing, Sucker Punch, Dark Pulse and Foul Play
  • November 12th: Zygarde. Level: 100. Attacks: Land's Wrath, Extreme Speed, Glare and Outrage

Prior to the leak pages of CoroCoro magazine, many insiders have been speculating that Pokémon Z will focus mainly on legendary Pokémon Zygarde after its leaked image provided hints of its enormous powers and almost the most powerful Pokémon to be ever released.

CrossMap quoted CoroCoro as describing the new Pokémon, "Zygarde is currently reported to have five forms; the Zygarde Core which is self-aware and able to communicate; the Zygarde 10 % Forme which is very much like a dog, and absorbs cellular structure of cells around it; the Zygarde 50% Forme is the legendary Pokémon that could be encountered in the Terminus Cave, it also has a shape of a serpent; and Zygarde Perfect Form. Many believes that this concept was inspired by Cell from Dragon Ball."

The report added that when Zygarde has reached its 100% form, he becomes more powerful than the combined strengths of Xerneas and Yveltal (the titular Pokémon from X and Y), making him almost invincible.

However, MoviePlot added that all is not bad news for fans of the game series as Nintendo has announced a Pokémon Go & Pokken Tournament to the Wii U.

Pokémon Go is Nintendo's latest iOS and Android mobile app game that allows users to battle and capture virtual Pokémo in the real world. The report added, "Pokken Tournament, previously only available on arcades in Japan, is a fighting game developed by Tekken creators Bandai Namco, involving a litany of Pokémon brawling and beating on one another, fighter-style... Awesome."
