One of the most high-end gaming laptops is now available. The revamp Razer Blade features Chroma backlighting and powerful specs. The price of the Razer's super-slim notebook starts at $1,999 and will begin shipping in April. Here's what you need to know about Razer Blade 2016 review, release date, price and specs.
This year's Razer Blade looks like its previous version, which is not a bad thing. The laptop features smooth-black 13.6 x 9.3 x 0.70-inch chassis and lighter body. The entire laptop is nearly a quarter-pound lighter than its predecessor.
Interestingly, Razer managed to shave 2016 Blade's weight while retaining the same battery capacity. The previous version is 4.4 pounds, while the current version is only 4.25 pounds.
There's also a faster solid-state storage drive and an improved fan design, which helps to keep the internal components cooler. These features power the laptop to perform heavy-duty tasks without overheating.
Furthermore, the 2016 Razer Blade received a bunch of upgrades this year. All models are powered with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The new Blade is equipped with Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M graphics card with 6GB of VRAM to address the increasing demands of video memory. Gamers can expect that the laptop can run the latest graphically-intensive games at high settings, as per reports from CNET.
To compliment the beefier GPU specification, Razer installed Intel's Core-i7 6700HQ CPU on 2016 Blade. Moreover, have a thrilling gaming experience at laptop's 14-inch, 3200 x 1800-pixel touch display.
The latest Blade laptop also offers Razer Chroma, a fully functional anti-ghosting keyboard with individual RGB LEDs in every key. The feature gives gamers backlit RGB keys with 16.8 million color combinations. Also, the keyboard has some cool lighting effects.
On its body, the Blade has three high-speed USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, and a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C connection. The latter will allow user to connect the laptop to Razer's Core graphics amplifier.
Compare to last year's model, the 2016 Blade is much cheaper. The 256GB model is at $1,999 and the 512GB version is available for $2,199.
Interested buyers can pre-order the laptop at Razerstore.com, and the notebook will begin shipping in April.
