At the retreat held last Friday in New York Flushing’s Faith Bible Church, Rev. Moses Yu delivered the message titled “In Christ, a Life of Blessing.” He said that the greatest blessing for anyone is to preach the gospel for they enjoy the blessings of life inside of Christ.

Yu said that Christians are the blessed ones, because their lives possess Jesus; however, if they don’t share this blessing with others, then they still cannot enjoy the even greater joy inside of this blessing.

Therefore, Christians need to proclaim the gospel, and this is the responsibility for every believer, said Yu. He said that the Chinese believers should strive even harder in preaching the gospel and in ministry works, exert greater costs, in order to reveal the blessings of Christ.

Furthermore, Yu pointed out that the Chinese churches falls significantly behind in overseas missions when compared with United States and South Korea. Not only are the Chinese falling behind in intercultural missions, but even the number of Chinese missionaries in mainland China are fewer than the Korean missionaries. This reveals the urgent need for a revival in the Chinese churches, more believers who is both passionate to missions and willing to devote have to stand up.

When addressing how the church can experience revival, Yu stated two points: prayer of repentance and prayer of persistence. Yu personally witnessed the revival of Shandong. He said that the great revival came about because numerous western missionaries and local ministers and believers repented; only when everyone is have the courage to repent will the Holy Spirit rain down.

The other important factor is praying persistently, said Yu. Prayer is the pathway for man to get close to God and it is also a pathway for God to do work on man. Through prayers, more believers can be encouraged to devote their lives in missions.

Lastly, Yu encouraged the believers to carry on the Great Commission that the Lord has entrusted to us in this end times and greatly preach the gospel.
