The Scotland football team will be facing the Samoa in the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup 2015 on Saturday at the St James' Park in Newcastle. The Scottish side is expected to demolish the visiting Samoan team or face humiliation as they carry a nation's expectations, reported The Telegraph.

The Samoa vs Scotland will commence at 2.30pm London time, with the 9th ranked Scotland side seen by many to have "everything in place to perform at their best" against the 15th ranked Samoan side. Scotland coach Vern Cotter has all his players available against the matchup with Samoa. The team also enjoys two bonus points after scoring four tries against the Japanese and the U.S. sides.

The 50,000-capacity St. James Park is also expected to be filled by loyal fans as the Scots have descended to Newcastle to watch the games.

Scotland assistant coach Duncan Hodge, commented, "We didn't do ourselves justice against South Africa so now we're on to a big match, a winner-takes-all situation. We'll just deal with that, accept it's a big game, and look to be composed, but it is extremely simple - we need to win this game. There are no grey areas at all. We know how we need to perform, and that is at the top of our game and to the best of our abilities."

However, it will not be easy for Scotland to dispose of Samoa. Despite a disappointing appearance at this year's World Cup, Samoa still has its main players intact, with full-back Tim Nanai-Williams giving an outstanding performance. Against Scotland, Samoa enjoys a good record and won the last match between the two when they beat Scotland 27-17 in Durban two years ago.

"I don't know if Samoa's standards have dropped, but we understand that they have dangerous backs, good off-loaders, good steppers and are strong in contact," Ross Ford commented. "We are aware of the threats that they bring, and know we have to dominate up front and set a platform that allows us to get into the game and release Hoggy and Marky so they can do what they do. We have to boss it up front for that to happen."
