JK Shin, Samsung’s President and CEO, has just unveiled the line’s latest addition - the Galaxy Note 3 – at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany. The phone's official U.S. release date will be in October, after the worldwide release date of September 25th.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a faux-leather back, which is aimed at pleasing consumers who disliked the former plastic backs of the company’s phones.

According to Engadget, the Note 3 also comes pre-loaded with Knox, the company’s secure BYOD solution, support for super-fast LTE Category 4, runs Android 4.3 and integration with the latest Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

Galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 or 1.9GHz Exynos Octa CPU, 3GB RAM, weighs 168 grams and comes in three distinct colors.

The rear camera is 13-megapixel and has optical image stabilization for HD video recording. As for its release date, the president confirmed that it will ship in 32GB and 64GB versions globally beginning on September 25th, and in October for the US and Japan.

The software features include Air Command, S-Pen, S Finder, updated S Note, and My Magazine.
