Ever since the release of the Galaxy Note 4, many have asked what is going to happen with the Samsung Galaxy S6.  It may seem too early to talk about the S6 since the S5 is still considered a "new" phone, but according to the International Business Times (IBT), the S6 could arrive sooner rather than later and might bring a new phone called the Galaxy Edge.

In fact, it is quite possible that the Samsung Galaxy S6 could arrive as early as February 2015.  This would be two months before the Galaxy S5 has been on the market for a year.  So far, the company has been undergoing this strange tradition of releasing the new Galaxy S smartphone each year.  If the company were to release the S6 this early, then they would probably unveil it at CES at Las Vegas in January instead of their usual pattern of announcing it at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

It is rumored that the Galaxy S6 has a codename of "Project Zero", which follows another tradition to call devices names like Project J for the Galaxy S4, Project K for the Galaxy S5, Project H for the Galaxy Note 3, and Project T for the Galaxy Note 4.

There has been some rumors about what it might feature.  For example, it could have a display resolution of 1440 x 2560 resolution with 554 ppi, but it is not known what the screen size would be.  The resolution of the Galaxy S5 is currently 1080 x 1920 pixels with a measurement of 5.1 inches and 432 ppi.  Samsung has actually said that a smartphone with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 could be a reality by 2015, and it could easily be the Galaxy S6.

The processor of the Galaxy S6 could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810/Exynos 7420/UFS 2.0 NAND Flash memory.  The Storage is planned to come in 32/64/128 GB of internal memory with expandable memory of 128 GB via micro SD/SDHC slot.

As far as the camera is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S6 could have a 16 Megapixel main camera and a front-facing camera of 5 Megapixels.  Some have claimed that the rear-facing camera could be as high as 20 Megapixels, which we will explain later.

One thing is for sure that the Galaxy S6 will come with Lollipop, Android 5.0, right out of the box.  The predecessor S5 is slated to receive Lollipop as early as this December, with most agreeing that it will probably be available for upgrade in January 2015.

Another at Concept-Phones states that the Galaxy S5 as well as the Galaxy S5 Edge (another version of this S6 phone) could have absolutely no bezel.   There is a video by Jermaine Smit, and it shows glass all throughout the façade area.  Another possible feature is fast charging, with 20 minutes of charging giving the user 50 percent of battery life.

Whatever the plans are for the Galaxy S6, we will probably have to wait for at least a few months.
