Two years after the launching of Galaxy Tab 4, Samsung is now ready to release the "Advanced" version of the device. Today's reports say the revamped tablet has upgraded hardware and new features. Now, here's what is currently known about Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced release date, specs and rumors on the web.

The Verge reported the rumored Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced has spotted in GFXBench with model number SM-T536. By the looks of it, the forthcoming 10-inch tablet from Samsung has moderate internals and new operating system.

Rumors also indicate the Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced is a midrange tablet, which means buyers can expect it to become available at an affordable price.  The upcoming tablet is the first update to the Galaxy Tab 4 series that was released in April 2014. The Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced is said to boast several improvements.

A report from Neurogadget claims the Advanced Tab 4 is powered with an octacore processor and 2 GB of RAM. These internal features will greatly help the device to have optimum performance under heavy use.

Furthermore, the tablet could have 32 GB of internal memory. Of course, some users might find it as insufficient, but Samsung installed a microSD slot, which will expand the device's memory for up to 64 GB.

The tablet will also have a 10-inch display and a clear resolution of 1280×800 pixels.

As for its camera technology, it could only offer average features. The rear-facing camera is said to have 5 megapixels, and its front-facing camera could have 2 megapixels. The original model did not have flash, autofocus or face detection, but users can now have these features on the Advanced Tab 4.

The battery capacity of the tablet is also satisfying. It has 6,800 mAh of battery capacity that offers more than 10 hours of Internet use, up to 10 hours of video playback and up to 208 hours of audio playback.

Compare to the Kitkat-powered original Tab 4, this year's model has pre-installed Android Marshmallow, Google's new operating system. One of the system's innovative features is the Doze mode, which will boost the tablet to stretch its battery life much further. As the name suggests, when the tablet is idle, the feature conserves battery for future use.

The price of Advanced Galaxy Tab 4 could be around $380. The tablet's appearance on GFXBench suggests it could become available sooner than later. For now, let's wait for further announcements from Samsung.
