Sandra Bullock announced a special news to the public after hiding for months.

Bullock said they were trying to keep it secret but it was hard since the paparazzi followed her everywhere. She said that a photographer even followed her in the ER.

Apparently, Bullock has been securing the adoption of her three-year-old daughter, Laila.

The now mother-of-two said she does not want the paparazzi scene on her children and she promised to "protect her from something like this, and here I was chasing down lawyers-having them begging them to keep her safe."

Bullock said she preferred the adoption process.

"Most foster children are in foster care because they were taken from their birth homes under tragic circumstances-and the last thing I wanted was to bring more harm to her because of the nature of my job," she said.

According to Today, Bullock has been an exemplary mother to all. She even shared a powerful advice to parents in her interview with People Magazine.

Though she admitted having a little girl scared her so much, she was able to tackle this fear and focus on Laila.

Bullock recalled her mother's words to her before she passed away. She said she was caring for her mother at the time and she was trying not to cry. Then, her mother said, "Don't be like me."

"In that moment, a lot of our lifetime together had been explained. She didn't want me to go through life shut down, afraid of feeling. Well, life has made sure I feel everything now, and I'm not ashamed to admit it anymore."

This powerful message has reflected on Bullock's own parenting style. She even have this little ritual for her kids during bedtime.

She said before tucking her kids to sleep, she would read to them out loud "The Family Book" by Todd Parr. She said she thinks every family can relate to this.

Bullock and her kids are already asleep by 8:45 p.m. But since she wakes up around 5:45 a.m., that was alright.

The "Gravity" star said this routine "makes me happy."

Laila and her son, Louis share a room. She said it was fun watching the siblings "interact and take care of each other."

She said the most peaceful part of the day was knowing both of them are asleep.

"I can leave their room knowing we have another day under our belt," "The Blind Side" actress revealed.
