A seven-months pregnant woman was forcibly aborted of her son last Friday by China’s family planning officials who abducted her and took her to a hospital.

Texas-based ChinaAid reported that the seven-month-old fetus was killed by lethal injection, and the other was still hospitalized in Chuzhou, in Fengyang count, Anhui province, on Monday.

ChinaAid interviewed the woman’s husband, who said he was lawfully protesting to the local government and holding discussions with them.

The woman’s husband said the forced abortion took place on March 22. He also said the government has stepped forward to negotiate this matter, and the government right now is in the middle of discussion.

“If the government does not compromise, I’ll call you!” said the woman’s husband to ChinaAid.

ChinaAid calls upon all people of conscience worldwide to strongly condemn this act and urge the Chinese government to punish the perpetrators and abolish its forcibly enforced family planning policy.

The Chinese Health Ministry reported on March 14 that since 1971, 336 million abortions has been performed, 196 million sterilizations conducted, and 403 million intrauterine devices inserted.

China, which has a quarter of world’s population, first instituted limits on population growth in 1971 and established its “one-child” population control program in 1979.
