'Sleepy Hollow' Season 2 Spoilers: Ichabod, Katrina Raises Monster in Upcoming War

Sleepy Hollow

In Sleepy Hollow Season 2, protagonists Ichabod and Abbie will face with tough decisions in their ongoing struggle to stop the Apocalypse.

As a word of warning, there will be many spoilers ahead.

Though there were few details revealed in the latest trailer from ABC network, Ichabod's wife Katrina is still being held captive by Headless Horseman. In the previous season, she was handed off to the villain by her own son Jeremy Crane - who turns out to be the second horseman named 'War'.

Meanwhile, Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) are coming up with battle plans that will require sacrificing moral principles.

"We have the means of creating a weapon of unearthly power," Ichabod says, while unveiling a mysterious diagram of a human figure.

"We're talking about raising a monster," Abbie responds.

Afterwards, the scene shifts to a clip from Season 2 that shows an undead army rising from their graves. The zombies are dressed in colonial era clothing. Viewers also catch a glimpse of 'War' in full armor and bearing a flaming sword. Another scene shows the Headless Horseman swinging his axe toward the audience.

"War is hell", Jeremy says while in his human 'Sin Eater' form.

First Season Recap

Jeremy's first appearance had him disguised as Henry Parish, a human who possesses the ability to ingest sin. Parish's true identity is kept secret from the audience until the first season finale. Only when Ichabod leads Katrina out of purgatory does Jeremy reveal his true colors.

"War isn't coming to Sleep Hollow. It's been here all along waiting to take form," Jeremy taunts.

"Now, it begins. Goodbye, father," he says before burying Ichabod alive in a coffin. Naturally, Ichabod is eventually freed from his prison, and will do battle with his long-lost son in the upcoming new season.

Sleepy Hollow Season 2 is coming to Fox network on Monday, Sept. 22 at 9/8c.
