With several days more to go until the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 officially begins, fans of ‘Teen Wolf’ are also looking forward to details about the new season that might be revealed during the event.
As previously reported, the MTV series will put forward three new villains in the sixth installment, one of which is a Nazi werewolf, also known as the unnamed man who creeped and sneaked out of the tank at the Dread Doctors’ hideaway in the ‘Teen Wolf’ season five finale.
The show’s star, Tyler Posey, spoke with Entertainment Weekly and teased fans of what is to come in the series when the new villain is introduced.
"We have a Nazi werewolf, which might be the most interesting villain we've ever had on the show," Posey, who plays Scott McCall on the MTV series, explained. "I think this might be the oldest werewolf that we've ever [had], and of course he's not a normal werewolf. That would just be too easy for the 'Teen Wolf' world."
Posey's character will not be involved in any love story. Arden Cho, who took on the role of Scott's love interest Kira Yukimura, will not be returning to the new season, thereby suggesting a single Scott when the series returns.
According to showrunner Jeff Davis, the supernatural show will be travelling back in time once again when the Nazi werewolf is introduced on ‘Teen Wolf’ season six.
"We do have a couple flashback scenes to Nazi Germany," Davis revealed.
Earlier this year, the man on horseback shown in the first teaser for season six will also be one of the new antagonists. Meanwhile, details on the last villain remain undisclosed.
"We have a really cool new mythology [for season 6]," Davis said in an interview with MTV News. "That new mythology involves three new characters, three new bad guys. I don't want to say too much, but they look really cool. And they're tall again. For some reason we like really tall villains."
The showrunner also admitted that Beacon Hills will be in big trouble when these new villains make their arrival, especially for Linden Ashby’s character.
"I can say that it causes a lot of pain in Beacon Hills, and that Sheriff Stilinski's life will be thrown into turmoil," Davis added.
The ‘Teen Wolf’ season six premiere date is likely to be announced at the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel this month.
According to MTV News, Davis and the rest of the cast will make an appearance at a panel discussion/Q&A moderated by Samantha Highfill from Entertainment Weekly at the San Diego Convention Center Ballroom 20 on July 21, Thursday, at 4:30 p.m.
Aside from the stars’ autographs, fans can also expect several freebies, such as portable chairs, posters and MTV iFans.
"'Teen Wolf' always tries to push the envelope and do something creative and something we've never done before. We're trying to do that again," Posey said in an interview with E! News at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.
