It's been two years since the Michael Bay produced another version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and they will be back this summer with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows.  This title implies that the Ninja Turtles (Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo) are going to be seen by the city of New York, which looks like it will be facing a disaster of epic proportions.  A new trailer reveals more of the film, and this is what is known about the Release Date and Cast including some new/old faces like Megan Fox, Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey Jones, and possibly Krang.

The opening of the trailer reveals this portal thing that is dropping strange blocks from the sky.  One can't helped but be reminded of Michael Bay's Transformers series, and this could be a tease for a villain that has yet to appear in a live-action Ninja Turtles film, Krang.  On the animated series in the eighties, Krang was a living brain from Dimension X who worked with the Turtles' arch-enemy Shredder to try and bring them down.  However, the cast list on the imdb page doesn't have Krang listed, so either they are trying to keep a secret, or save him for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3

There are some appearances by some other famous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villains as Bebop (a warthog/human creature) and Rocksteady (a rhino/human creature) are finally making their way into the big screen.  These villains were wanted in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze back in 1991, where Shredder had two other mutant/animal henchmen.

Speaking of things that people want to see, there is definitely no shortage of Michael Bay explosions in the trailer, particularly in a scene that looks like the breakout of Shredder, who is going to be the villain in this picture.  William Fichtner is reprising his role as Eric Sacks, so it looks like his plan is to use create Rocksteady and Bebop to take out the Ninja Turtles, and then open a portal to Dimension X to carry out whatever nefarious plan he has this time.  As far as other reprisals go, Megan Fox will be back as April O'Neil, and Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick.

In the mix are other Ninja Turtles characters brought to life again.  The one and only Tyler Perry will be Baxter Stockman, a brilliant scientist who often helped Shredder in his schemes.  Stephen Amell from television's Arrow will be the masked vigilante Casey Jones, a longtime fan-favorite character.

Also on board is Laura Linney, but it is not known what part she will play, according to imdb.  The same goes for Judith Hoag, who played April O'Neil in the original Ninja Turtles live action films.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will be hitting theaters on June 3, 2016.
