Tekken 7 Release Date, Rumors, Characters, and Arcade Version for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

The demand in America of Tekken 7's arcade versions will determine if Japanese game developer Bandai Namco will add online play of the hugely popular video game, said Katsuhiro Harada, director of Tekken 7.

Speaking at the Tekken 7 panel at this year's Evolution Championship Series (EVO 2015) tournaments in the main Bally's/Paris Convention Center halls, Harada added that the availability of Tekken 7 arcade machine would on other arcades would depend on the willingness of arcade operators to invest in the machines and participate in local tests for Tekken 7.

These and other information were revealed by Harada at EVO 7, said Ozzie Mejia of Shack News. And to give gamers the ultimate experience in gaming, the popular fighting game will use the power of Unreal Engine 4 to deliver the next evolution of fighting impact.

Tekken 7 will likely target high-end game systems such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but no official platform support has been confirmed by Bandai Namco.

While giving no specific date, Harada provided some links on the release date of Tekken 7 on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms as he explained that the team at Bandai Namco are rushing the full development of Tekken 7 on the arcade version so that there will be less bugs and everything is polished once the console versions are released in the U.S.

In the meantime, Harada said the Tekken team is encouraging gamers who have played Tekken 7's arcade version to provide them with feedbacks to further improve the game. Currently, Tekken is accepting feedbacks from Japanese players, but players in America can will be given the opportunity to send their feedbacks soon.

With no official confirmation from Bandai Namco on the exact release date of Tekken 7 for the PS4 and Xbox One, fans can try playing the arcade versions of the game for now. Players in America who want to play Tekken 7 may visit these Dave & Busters and Round One arcades to play the game.

In our previous reports, we revealed that Tekken 7 will add new characters to lineup of fighters, with at least six new names were introduced on its arcade release date. It was further suggested that Bandai Namco could add more characters as the game progresses.

New name include Gigas, Josie Rizal, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarin and Claudio. While familiar names include Alisa Bosconovitch, Asuka Kazama, Bryan Fury, Devil Jin, Feng Wei, Heihachi Mishima, Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, King II, Lars Alexandersson, Leo Kliesen, Lili, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Sergei Dragunov and Steve Fox.
