Thanksgiving Songs
''O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.'' (Psalm 95:1-3 KJV).

Thanksgiving celebrations nowadays are mainly made up of friends and family members feasting on good food while lounging around bars or houses watching football games. Every fourth Thursday of November, Americans gather in groups to celebrate an occasion that started in 1621. While the manner by which Thanksgiving is observed these days greatly differs from the harvest meal that marked the beginning of such glorious occasion, the idea behind the event remains the same. That is, Thanksgiving still marks the day that Americans stay together in one place to share a meal with one another.

Here are bible verses to help inspire the celebration of Thanksgiving:

1. I will praise the name of God with song, And shall magnify Him with thanksgiving. (Psalm 69:30)

2.Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

3. "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11-13)

4. You will say in that day: "I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me. "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation." With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: "Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. "Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth." (Isaiah 12:1-6)

5. But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay Salvation is from the LORD. (Jonah 2:9)

6. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. (1 Timothy 4:4-5)

7. Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. (Psalm 95:1-6)

8. Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

9. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. (James 1:17)

10. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (Colossians 3:15)
