Game developer Massive Entertainment has just released a new trailer for The Division's 1.2 update. The forthcoming update will introduce a new Incursion mission, new targets and "Hijack Extraction" feature in the Dark Zone. Now, here's what is currently known about The Division 1.2 'Conflict' update release date and features
Based on the latest trailer, the update 1.2 will bring new Incursion, which has been on the map but has remained inaccessible. It takes place in Columbus Circle, and players have to face legions of Rikers who are armed with anti-air defense weapons.
The gameplay of the new Incursion has not yet revealed, but some gaming analysts believe it would be similar to the previous Falcon Lost Incursion. It is speculated gamers may face another horde-clearing mission to get new and exciting loots.
During the Incursion segment, the trailer interestingly revealed four new gear sets: Hunter's Faith, Predator's Mark, Lone Star and Final Measure. Three of these sets are for a traditional archetype. Hunter is for Sniper, Predator is for Striker and Lone Star is for Survivor.
In addition, new high-value targets have been released across Manhattan. Players have to look for these enemies and take them all out. By doing so, they can get awesome gears and other cool rewards. The idea is players can take on a target from a vendor with a "hit list," and then they have to complete the mission in a limited amount of time.
Furthermore, the Division update 1.2 comes with new weapons. Get ready to use Medved Saiga-12 Shotgun, the Hungry Hog M60 LMG, Centurion M1911 Pistol and the Historian M1A MMR. The stats and bonuses of these weapons haven't been revealed yet.
According to Forbes, one of the most interesting features of Update 1.2 Conflict is the opportunity to hijack Dark Zone extractions. In the Dark Zone, players have to fight waves of NPCs and evade Rogues to get gears. After that, they will hook their gears to the extraction rope. However, the forthcoming update will give other players a chance to cut that rope and take all of the gears.
As for the release date of 1.2 Conflict, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have not yet gave any specific details, but the trailer confirmed a May launching. So, expect to see the update in the next couple of days.
