NBC's 'The Michael J. Fox Show' premiers on Thursday evening, September 26, 2013.

The Michael J. Fox Show will premiere Thursday night with a one-hour special on NBC on September 26, 2013 at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times; 8, Central time. Those without television can watch the NBC sitcom online by live stream on Hulu Plus.

Michael J. Fox plays Mike Henry, a network news anchor reviving his career after a hiatus because of Parkinson's disease. Fox revealed in 1999 that he had Parkinson's and left his starring role in "Spin City." This is his regular return to television for the first time. It is also Fox's second NBC series. He appeared on that network's sitcom Family Ties from 1982 to 1989 as Alex P. Keaton.

The casts of the new NBC sitcom are Michael J. Fox (Mike Henry), Wendell Pierce (Harris Green), Betsy Brandt (Annie Henry), Conor Romero (Ian Henry), Juliette Goglia (Eve Henry), Jack Gore (Graham Henry) and Katie Finneran (Leigh).

In August 2012, NBC gave a straight-to-series order for the series. A full season of 22 episodes has been ordered.

The show has received positive reviews from critics. It was called one of the six best new shows of the 2013-2014 TV season by Entertainment Weekly.
