There was a lot of great tech that was announced during 2015, and there will be a lot of new technology unveiled at 2016.  During the first week of January, the biggest tech companies get together for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is held annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and all over the city of Las Vegas.  This is the tech to expect at CES 2016, complete with New 4K TVs, Virtual Reality, 2-in-1 Computers, Wearables, and thousands of other representatives. 

Generally, most of the big electronic companies like Samsung, LG, and Panasonic have the bigger and better televisions on display at CES, and this year will probably be no exception, and Engadget hopes that this could be the year of the affordable 4K television.  Sony will bring out an affordable UHD TV as well, and possibly a new 4K camera. 

It is also predicted that there will be more on IoT or "The Internet of Things", as devices are becoming more and more connected.  Companies like Intel might put their best foot forward on the showfloor, and soon most devices one wouldn't consider connecting will be connected.  This could also apply to connected homes as well. 

Smartphones generally don't get revealed at CES, as they usually wait for Mobile World Congress at the end of February/beginning of March.  Although last year, LG unveiled the LG Flex 2, it is unknown if they will be doing another version this year. 

So what else can we expect to see?  According to TNW news, the word could be wearables.  Considering we live in a post Apple Watch age, companies might have already planned their response for CES 2016 after the Apple Watch hit the market with moderate success.  Part of this werable boom could be niche devices, like those that are attuned to women's health. 

Also expect to see a lot of cord-cutters with companies bringing their own version of content streaming that does not involve cable TV in any way.  Their might also be a rise of 2-in-1 computers, considering how the Surface Pro 4 was such a hit. 

One of the big things that will be on the floor is virtual/augmented reality.  With the release of the Oculus in Q1, this could be the year where Virtual Reality will be the hit that everyone wants to predict that it will be. 

Assuming that the Virtual Reality market takes off, this could lead to a demand for 360 degree cameras.  Considering that some people don't want to watch 360 videos on a 2D screen by using their finger to scroll about the scenery, a VR headset is the ideal way to experience this. 

Another thing that is just growing in popularity is drones.  One of the great reveals at CES 2010 was Parrot's arDrone that really helped begin the drone market.
