The Seattle Seahawks will face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday (October 22) at 8:25 pm ET. The San Francisco 49ers will see themselves host the Russell Wilson squad for the Thursday Night Football at the Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. The Kam Chancellor football team will enter the NFL match against Colin Kaepernick's squad with a 2 - 4 record following a disappointing defeat against Cam Newton's Carolina Panthers in Week 6 of the regular NFL season. As for the San Francisco 49ers, the California football team get in the crucial face off against the Marshawn Lynch team following a hard-earned victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the previous NFL week.

The Seattle Seahawks lost to the Carolina Panthers 27 - 23, with quarterback Russell Wilson completing 18 out of the 30 passes for 241. The quarterback also managed to pitch in a touchdown as well as 53 yards in eight attempts for the struggling Seattle Seahawks. The recently healed Marshawn Lynch contributed a touchdown in 17 attempts and 54 yards. As for Jimmy Graham, the Seattle Seahawks star added 140 yards in eight receptions; while Ricardo Lockette pitched in a touchdown in two catches along with 43 yards. The bitter loss against Cam Newton's team, however, had been claimed by Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard. Despite the loss, the NFL team still attempt to be optimistic in this upcoming match against the San Francisco 49ers.

"You've got to keep battling, and you've got to keep playing," shared the Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator. Richard went on to state, "In regards to us, like I said, it was so much good football out there. It's close. It's close, it's so close. Everybody feels it, and everybody knows it, so just keep playing, and we will finish."

Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers hold the same 2 - 4 record this NFL season. Although the San Francisco 49ers won its recent match against the Baltimore Ravens, fans and followers of the football team noted the challenges flunking the Jarryd Hayne squad. With both the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers tied at this point in the NFL season, many feel that the Week 7 game will be crucial as it could serve as an elimination round since the two football teams are at the bottom of the rankings.

"Yeah, it's a huge opportunity for us," admitted San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, according to ESPN. He added, "To get back to 1-1 in our division, to give us an opportunity to get to 3-4 overall and start stacking wins together. We need this to gain momentum moving forward. We're not in a position to lose any more games."
