There have been a lot of rumors that are pairing the NFL commentator Tim Tebow with Jana Duggar, star of 19 Kids and Counting. This rumor has been, more the most part, dispelled as a representative from Tim Tebow has formally stated that these two have never even met.
So how could this rumor have started? Part of it is a report from Star Magazine that paired them together. Actually, it was Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar that met Tim Tebow's mother, Pam, at a fundraiser for Loving Choices Pregnancy Centers in Springdale, Arkansas. The day after the meeting, Pam visited the Duggar family at the Druggar household.
Considering that Jim Bob helped orchestrate Jill's relationship with Derick Dillard and Jessa's relationship with Ben Seewald, many people thought that Jim Bob was planning to introduce Tim Tebow to Jana. It really doesn't take long for information, albeit false, to spread in the information age after these suppositions take effect.
InTouch has called the union of Jana Druggar and Tim Tebow a match made in heaven. A source from InTouch has stated that "Jim Bob is no dummy. Tim would be a perfect addition to the family and a feather in his cap. Can you imagine the press attention a Tim-Jana wedding would get?" Considering that the Duggar family has a lot of followers with their massive social media presence, a wedding between the two of them would be quite a draw for the 19 Kids and Counting show and Duggar family fandom in general.
In a related story, there is apparently an alleged rift between Jill and Jessa Duggar and their spouses. Jill, who is soon to be a mother, has apparently stopped following her 22-year-old sister Jessa on Twitter. Jill follows most of her family, and it was also reported that Jessa promptly unfollowed Jill. This feud has had another complication as Jill's husband, Derrick, follows his brother-in-law Ben, but Ben does not follow Derrick.
The pairing of Tim Tebow and Jana Duggar was no doubt wishful thinking from fans, who know that both of them have Christian beliefs, and would like to see them together.
The funny thing is that now this rumor is already in the air, and it is easy to suspect that Tim Tebow's representative, the one that told the press that Tebow has never met Jana Druggar, might be requesting some kind of formal introduction. What would be very interesting is seeing the two of them meet, and then discuss with members of the press why they are not together.
