Tim Tebow’s ‘Night to Shine’ Pledges to Sponsor 100 Churches Worldwide for a Prom Night of Christ-Centered Fun

The Tim Tebow Foundation has committed to host up to 100 churches worldwide as it continues with its 'Night to Shine' tradition of celebrating God's love for people with special needs and the value of life through an unforgettable prom night experience on Valentines Day.

In a statement posted on its web site, the Tim Tebow Foundation said the next event would be held on February 12, 2016. The foundation is committed to providing each host church up to $8,500, in addition to a detailed prom manual and prom kit full of special decorations and gifts for guests.

"We want to show each and every guest that they are special and they are loved," said Tim Tebow. "This is a night to celebrate who they are as a child of God, and to remind them that in God's eyes, we are all kings and queens."

Night to Shine 2016 is expected to be even better than its predecessor. The vision of the Tim Tebow Foundation is to include more churches, resulting in more volunteers, and most importantly, more honored guests.

"We have always said that we wanted Night to Shine to be a night for the churches to shine, the volunteers to shine, and most importantly, for Christ to shine," said Erik Dellenback, Executive Director of the Tim Tebow Foundation. "We cannot wait to see what God has in store for next year's event."

The first Night to Shine event was held last February 13 this year that was attended by 15,000 volunteers and 7,000 honored guests from 44 host churches in 26 states and 3 countries and created an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs, ages 16 and older.

The Tim Tebow Foundation aims to transform Valentine's Day Weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a worldwide movement celebrating God's love for people with special needs.

Tebow commented on his charity event, "We had a great time. I'm so humbled and grateful to be a part of it."

The event was organized to give everyone, especially those with special needs, to become king or queen in the eyes of God. Each participant was honored with a crown or tiara at the end of the night to enable them to feel like royalties.

"My goal is to make you feel like kings and queens," Tebow told attendees. "But to be honest with you, every moment of your life, God looks at you like a king or a queen...you are special."

In the inaugural event, thousands of people came together on one night to create memories that will last a lifetime. Each prom included a red-carpet entrance complete with a friendly welcome from paparazzi, limousine rides, hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas and, of course, the dance floor. The honored guests received either a crown or a tiara to serve as a reminder that they are all kings and queens.

The Tim Tebow Foundation launched the "Night to Shine" in 2014 with the vision of was working with churches around the country to provide an incredible prom night experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs, ages 16 and older.

This year, the foundation will continue expanding this ministry into a worldwide movement that allows people with special needs to shine, churches to shine, volunteers to shine, and most importantly, Christ to shine.
