Tim Tebow has been anything but quiet while he waits to resume his NFL career.
The former New York Jet quarterback player and current SEC Network reporter has been actively spreading the gospel through church events across the nation, most recently announcing his participation with the City Church in Seattle's three day conference, "Nights of Generosity."
"Looking forward to hanging out tonight with @judahsmith and @thecitychurch in Seattle! #nightsofgen," Tebow tweeted earlier today.
The event, which will also include Hillsong Pastor Brian Houston, will be held in the hopes of raising money for people in need "locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad."
Earlier this month, Tebow, who is a former Heisman Trophy winner, took part in The Central IL Fellowship of Christian Athletes held in Springfield, Illinois, tweeting that he was "thankful" to be involved.
The event, which highlighted a speech given by Tebow, was held to raise money for the FCA and to "present the life-changing message of Jesus Christ."
"It's encouraging to see someone use their celebrity in such a great way-to spread the word of Christ," said Christian coach and FCA member Andrew Horne. "Tim Tebow is doing the work of Christ in a pretty incredible way."
Earlier this year, Tebow headlined an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ouachita Christian School along with Duck Dynasty's Jase Robertson.
Both men, who tweeted a picture together before the event, are also scheduled to speak at the 2014 Wildfire "Men's Impact Weekend" Christian conference at the University of South Florida in June that features other sporting heroes like Darryl Strawberry, Drew Brees, Bobby Bowden and other, as well as notable pastors like Joe White and Max Lucado.
Tebow controversially declined to speak at First Baptist Church of Dallas last year following pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress statements regarding homosexuality, Mormonism and Catholicism.
Following the announcement, Tebow released a statement on his Twitter, posting, "While I was looking forward to sharing a message of hope and Christ's unconditional love with the faithful members of the historic First Baptist Church of Dallas in April, due to new information that has been brought to my attention, I have decided to cancel my upcoming appearance. I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Faith, Hope and Love to all those needing a brighter day. Thank you for all of your love and support. God Bless!"
Although not currently playing for the NFL, Tebow continues to be one of the most popular professional athletes. That popularity and the 25-year-old's Christian faith have led to him raising millions of dollars for various charities.
The Tim Tebow Foundation alone raised over $4 million in 2012.
