Titanfall 2 is coming.
We'll know more about 'Titanfall 2' on June PC Gamer

Game developer Respawn Entertainment dropped the first preview of Titanfall 2 this week. Gamers can expect the mech-centric shooter game will be introduced on June for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. Now, here's what is currently known about Titanfall 2 launching, new campaigns and new weapons.

Publisher Electronic Arts announced more information about Titanfall 2 will be revealed on E3 Play Conference, which is scheduled on Sunday, June 12. The 50-second teaser is understandably light on details, and contains a bunch of voice-over. Nonetheless, fans should expect to hear more from game developer on June.

The first Titanfall game, release in 2014, was exclusively available on Xbox platforms. For its next installment, Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella said it will be playable on different gaming platforms -- Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. It is also reported that Titanfall's sequel will have a substantial single-player campaign and more weapons variety.

In an interview with Forbes, Titanfall story developer Jesse Stern said the game's next installment would have a proper single-player campaign, something that gamers would love to see. In line with that, Respawn Entertainment HR and recruiting manager Kristin Christopher said the studio's development team has increased by 30% to carry larger bulk of workload.

Christopher told in Develop that the original Titanfall team is composed of 70 developers, but now, they have 90 to work on the second installment of the game.

The same source from Forbes said that the development for Titanfall 2 began as early as 2014, and it could become available in the first quarter of 2017. As of now, EA Games has not yet revealed the firm release date of the game.

In a report from Alhpr, it claims after Titanfall 2's worldwide reveal on June, it might become available on the holiday season. If this rumor were true, then the game would be a perfect gift for this year's Christmas season.

As for the story of Titanfall 2, Stern said it would have a "grand colonial warfare," which equates to retelling of the American Revolution and the America Civil War, but in a sci-fi setting.

Interestingly, GameSpot reported there is a TV series spin-off for Titanfall. The TV adaption is in the works with Lionsgate TV, the television arm of the Hunger Games production company.
