AMC plans to air the Season 5 Finale of The Walking Dead on March 29, 2015 at 9 PM. It will be a special 90-minute episode, and after it will be the Season 4 Finale of The Talking Dead. The Talking Dead is the talk show about the popular zombie show, and it should have some special guests. As far as the official plot synopsis, it might not be too hopeful for fan-favorite character Daryl Dixon.
According to iDigitalTimes, here is the AMC official finale description: "Daryl finds himself in trouble while out on the run. Meanwhile, in Alexandria, Rick and his group continue to feel like outsiders as danger lurks near the gates".
Note that Daryl Dixon is going to big part of this episode, and the Inquisitr reports that Norman Reedus, the actor that plays the fan-favorite character has dropped some big spoilers. He said that the finale will leave some viewers in tears, and other screaming at their television sets about the story line.
This raises of the question of when and if Daryl Dixon will die? A lot of people like this crossbow-wielding presence, even though he is not in the comic book source material. There are a lot of people who want Daryl to live, and many who are tweeting that they will riot if he dies.
However, as the show has proven, no character is safe and many of the group of survivors have met deaths such as Beth, which was a huge shock on the mid-season finale. Personally, I think that having Daryl die would be literally overkill, in every sense of the word. I'm not looking forward to a show where a main character dies with every season or mid-season finale. From what we know on The Spoiling Dead Fans, Daryl will find himself at the camp or territory run by a group of survivors that are known as The Wolves. Let's hope he makes it out alive.
As for the plotline with Rick in Alexandria, this is something that we have already spoiled in previous articles of The Walking Dead. Of course, anyone who reads the comic book source material knows about Alexandria, as it is a walled city designed to keep out the zombies. One of the comic's best subplots is how Rick and his group of survivors attempt to live within the confines of this place, but find that they simple cannot adjust to suburbia after what they have seen on the outside.
The walled off city of Alexandria was eventually destroyed after enough of the walkers eventually pushed down the walls, and then it was overrun. This could very easily happen on a very undead-heavy Season Finale of The Walking Dead. Perhaps Daryl will be involved in some way.
Design and Trend has talked to the director of the Season 5 Finale, "Conquer", Greg Nicotero. He says that the it is so powerful that the cast and writers deserve an Emmy recognition. He says that is "such a powerhouse and the performances are just spot-on". The show has already won some technical and make-up Emmys, but this one could be for sheer storytelling and performances alone.
If you want to catch the Season 5 Finale of The Walking Dead, "Conquer", tune in on AMC on March 29th.
