WWE 2K16 Release Date: WWE 2K15 DLC Update for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4

WWE 2k16

WWE 2K16, the successor to the highly-successful WWE 2K15, will be hitting the shelves on October 27, 2015 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, game developer Take Two Interactive, owner of 2K Games, said during the company's announcement of its revenue report for the fiscal fourth quarter and full-year ended March 31.

WWE 2K16 is the successor to the simulated professional World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) video game, WWE 2K15.

A report by Gamespot.com said that the triple-A video game, WWE 2K 15, is also one of the most popular games in 2K's rosters after they shipped three million units of the popular wrestling video game. It added that 2K Games shipped some seven million units of NBA 2K15 last year,

Take Two told investors, "Our strong fourth quarter revenues and better-than-expected Non-GAAP profits marked an outstanding close to one of our Company's best years ever," Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said. "During fiscal 2015, we seamlessly launched five triple-A titles for the holiday season led by Grand Theft Auto V and NBA 2K15; added an exciting new franchise with the successful release of Evolve; and achieved record digitally-delivered revenue, including our highest-ever revenues from recurrent consumer spending. Our business generated significant cash flow and, as a result, we ended the fiscal year with $1.1 billion in cash and short-term investments."

According to WWE 2K16News, the next installment of the popular wrestling game offers new targeting weapon system for a more thrilling fight. Players will have more quick reactions against their rivals in WWE 2K16, particularly in areas they have targeted. Gamers can precisely target an opponent's body, including the stomach and see the rival reacting on the stomach instead of doing aimless reaction. By keeping a correct position, a player can target a particular area of his or her opponent's body.

The web site said, "There are numerous new weapons are expected to included in this game along with the previous weapons. New special effects of weapon animation have given these weapons very nice looks. You will be able to use these weapons in various WWE fights in this game. You can use Steel Chair, kendo sticks, tables, ladders, sledge hammers, baseball bats and many more weapons that will add excitement into your play. There were many complaints of people that WWE 2K15 are not providing their favorite weapons and that might be the reason why developers have added many new weapons for fulfilling desires of these WWE lovers."

In another report, Xbox Achivements said that WWE 2K15 will most likely continue on the same track, as Visual Concepts and Yukes are collaborating to mode more improvements oon the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

Last April 30, we reported that the WWE 2K15 was made available to PC gamers. Before that, it was previously only available to console gamers.

Nick Paglino of Wrestle Zone published the press release 2K sent in regards to the PC version of the game. It can be downloaded from Steam for $49.99.

"WWE 2K15 for Windows PC represents another step forward for the WWE 2K portfolio as we continue expanding the brand's content offerings to additional platforms," Greg Thomas, President at Visual Concepts, said. "PC gamers who are long-time franchise fans are certain to enjoy the comprehensive and authentic WWE experience through simulation-based gameplay for the very first time."
