Last week, we reported on a possible leak of what games would be available for free on the Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers for November 2015. As it turns out, the leak was valid and below is a list of Games with Gold Free Games for November 2015 as well as possibilities for December 2015.
According to Major Tom, the Xbox One Backward Compatibility begins rolling out on November 12th, which means that Xbox One players can also play the games available for the Xbox 360. Xbox Live subscribers will be able to play multiplayer with their friends, no matter which console they are playing on. This also includes some advanced features of the Xbox One, like Game DVR, Screenshots, and in-home streaming to Windows 10.
For the Xbox One, Pneuma: Breath of Life will be available for free from November 1st to the 30th. Pneuma: Breath of Life has a surreal look to it that is reminiscent of games like Myst, and the Steam Store describes that the game "forces you to think outside the box through a narrated story of self-discovery while exploring the ontological mystery of the breath of life."
Another game that is possibly due to come for Xbox One is Knight Squad. The website for this game describes Knight Squad as an eight players top-down Bomberman meets Gauntlet game, with crazy sword fights where one hit is enough to take anyone down. The Knight Squad website also says that it is coming on Xbox One in 2015, and now that it is a free game, then it would have the audience required to make an exciting game like this become a huge hit, possibly overnight. Knight Squad will be for free from November 16th to December 15th.
As for the Xbox 360, one of the games that are available to play is DiRT 3. There has been a lot of focus on DiRT Rally lately, but DiRT 3 is a rallying video game that is third in the popular DiRT series developed and published by Codemasters. It will be available to download from November 1st to November 15th.
The second game on the Xbox 360 is Dungeon Siege III, available from November 16-30. This game, first released in 2011 by Obsidian Entertainment and Square Enix, is an action role-playing game (RPG) about four characters with different backstories who must journey into an open world and fulfill quests for the control of Ehb.
As for any news on the Xbox Live Games with Gold for December 2015, there isn't any word, and probably won't be any until around Thanksgiving or Black Friday. This doesn't mean that there won't be any Thanksgiving treats given out with the Backwards Compatibility option.
