For those who enjoy Microsoft's Xbox Live with Gold Free Games, there is some good news and the July 2015 titles have recently been announced. It has been two years since the Live with Gold program was announced, and to celebrate, Games with Gold will offer two new games on Xbox One every month. This is the Xbox Live With Gold Free Games for June and July 2015 Update and Predictions.
According to Major Nelson, Xbox Live Gold members will be about to download Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for free during the month of July. This is a game in the Ubisoft's popular franchise that takes place in the "Golden Age of Piracy", following the pirate Edward Kenway. This AAA games is some serious treasure for the Xbox Live with Gold fans.
Also available for free download from July 16th to August 15th is So Many Me. According to the description on the Steam store, this is a "charming puzzle platformer starring Filo and his band of misfit clones as they attempt to save a world threatened by an ancient, malevolent evil. Using their combined powers, Filo and his fellow Me must puzzle their way through a land of exotic creatures, devious traps, and evil minions".
As for the Xbox 360 options, Plants vs Zombies will be free starting July 1st through July 15th. I'm not certain if I have to explain Plants vs. Zombies, as most people have it on their smartphone or tablet. For those not aware, it is Popcap's most famous tower of defense game where you have to assemble your army of plants in order to stop the walking dead.
The other Xbox 360 option is Gears of War 3, which will be available on July 16th for download, with this offer ending on July 31st. Gears of War is a franchise that I also probably don't need to explain, but the humans vs. aliens third-person shooter is definitely one that keeps Microsoft Studios more in the black each day.
Until July 2015, here are the Games with Gold that are available for the month of June:
Xbox 360 subscribers can try out Massive Chalice, a turn-based, squad tactics game with players going up against each other in a 3D environment. The various classes of characters include Hunters, Alchemists, and Caberjacks.
Also available is Pool Nation FX, a game of billiards that uses very realistic physics engine for very superior gameplay and photo-realistic graphics. This game was also available for free during April and May, which makes it the third month it has been available for free.
For the Xbox 360, players were treated earlier this month with an open world action-adventure title Just Cause 2. June 15th has revealed its replacement with Thief. Thief is the fourth installment of the popular cult classic series as the character embarks on missions to steal from the wealthy in this medieval-inspired universe. The player is Garret, who can pickpocket, cause distractions, and use weapons to take out enemies. This game will be available until June 30th.
Xbox Live Gold program is a paid subscription service for the Xbox community, but Xbox users can sign up for free. With Gold comes features like online gaming, private chat, and much more. Microsoft really sweetened this deal back in E3 2013 when they announced their Games with Gold program, which allows Xbox 360 subscribers to receive a complimentary game twice a month, while Xbox One subscribers receive one game per month.
