Microsoft is reportedly gearing up for the launching of slimmer version of Xbox One console. A couple of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings have leaked over the internet, leading many fans to speculate that the new console could be revealed at E3 2016. Now, here's the latest update about Xbox One Slim launching and rumors on the web.

A  NeoGAF user named eKim compiled all of the documents about Microsoft's filing with the FCC. The leaked information reveals that the gaming company is working on some pieces of communication hardware. Interestingly, eKim linked the two filings with Xbox One's WLAN module.

One of the devices submitted for FCC approval as C3K-1683, is written "User Manual 1525." The original Xbox One FCC ID is also 1525. You can check it under your console. It should have codes written as "FCC ID C3K1525," with "C3K" as identifier for Microsoft and "1525" the model number. Industry experts say this coincidence with new FCC filing could mean that Microsoft is pushing some upgrades to the current Xbox One.  Hence, the logical conclusion here is that the tech giant might be working on a revamped or thinner Xbox one.

For the other filing, which has C3K-1682 model ID, it does not have reference to other Microsoft product. Tech Radar says it could be a new model of Xbox console to compete against the rumored PS4.5 or PS 5.

Furthermore, the model 1682 is under non-disclosure agreement (NDA) until July 29. For the rumored Xbox One slim (model 1683), its NDA expires on June 25. The E3 conference officially begins on June 14. If Microsoft will announce anything about these new potential products, they would do it on the said event.

Under US law, any electronic devices that wirelessly transmit data should be registered with the FCC before they become available in the market. However, the important information about the device or a manual can be kept under wraps for a certain period because of NDA agreement. Therefore, we should wait for June before we'll get the full details about Microsoft's new products.

It is also important to take note that Microsoft has not yet denied or confirmed any of these Xbox One Slim-related details, so readers should take it with a grain of salt.
