According to Sportskeeda, a demo of Final Fantasy XV is planning on arriving on March 17 in North America.  This particular demo was announced from Square Enix about a month ago, and this Final Fantasy XV demo will come in the form of a voucher code of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.  This demo is only available for a limited time, so you should probably order up Final Fantasy Type-0 before its March 17 release date.

VG 24/7 has stated that the team was "doing its best to have the demo playable with the release of Type-0 HD", and he was still working on optimizing the system and couldn't provide a release date for the demo.  I realize that this sounds in contrast to what I just stated in the last paragraph about a March 17th release date with Final Fantasy Type-0, but I also wrote that players will receive a voucher.  Considering that fans have been waiting for Final Fantasy XV for about a decade, there hopefully won't be any delays as far as the demo is concerned.

It was actually thought that the demo of Final Fantasy Type-0 would be a demo on Final Fantasy XV.  Considering that Final Fantasy is a very beloved video game franchise, the wait for fans has been very aggravating.  There is a new gameplay video on 24/7 if you would like to check that out.

Fans waiting for Final Fantasy XV often give a lot of reason why a game with this much wait is destined to fail.  Part of it is because Tetsuya Nomura is no longer the director, but this is not because he was kicked off the Final Fantasy XV creative team.  In fact, Nomura is working on Kingdom Hearts III, another game that has awaited its release.

Another critique from MoviePilot is that recent shots of the game reveal very few female characters.  The series was always good about bringing players equal amounts of male and female heroes, but shots from Final Fantasy XV seem crowded with males.

There is also this odd gameplay video that features a player taking control of a cat, and then sending this feline into a train station, which is not even finished.  The working of a cat seems not like gameplay of the past.

The Final Fantasy gaming franchise has its own mythology, and it would be very complicated to even begin explaining it all.  The world of Final Fantasy takes place on some modern-day setting, yet there is this medieval influence to it.  According to IGN.com, here is what we know about the story of Final Fantasy 15.  It will focus on Noctis Lucis Caelum, a prince of a dynasty that rules a city state with the last remaining crystal.  This crystal is stolen by an invading nation known as Niflheim, and this starts a world war as every nation wants this crystal for themselves.

Final Fantasy is known for its characters, and in addition to Noctis, there will be some interesting ones joining Noctis on his mission.  There will be a military tactician Ignis Scienta, who fights with a katana blade.  Another is melee fighter Gladiolus Amicitia, gun-wielding Prompto Argentum, and head of the Royal Family Guards Cor Leonis.  Noctis and his friends will be joined by another character who is shrouded in mystery named Stella Nox Fleuret, who fights with her rapier.  There have been a lot of rumors that classic Final Fantasy characters could be making a comeback in this version of the game.

As far as the gameplay is concerned, it will focus more on action rather than the traditional turn-based or active time battle system that is associated with Final Fantasy.  Instead, it will be comparable to the fighting in Kingdom Hearts.  Characters will have an open world map and can travel in vehicles.

Game Rant says that Final Fantasy 15 could signal the end of console gaming in Japan.   This is because the game has such a huge following, and will need to be everything that its fans have anticipated and more.  Since it appears that Japanese gamers are shifting more toward portable consoles as well as smartphone games, they may not welcome a game where the player has to spend hours of time in front of a television set.

Still, Final Fantasy 15 will undoubtedly have great sales worldwide, and the game is planned to be released sometime this year. As mentioned in a previous article, Final Fantasy 15 can be pre-ordered on Amazon now for only the Xbox One and Sony Playstation 4 (not the PC). Hopefully, there will be no more delays with this game and a quality preview will show up at E3 2015 in Los Angeles in June.  If it does, then the game will most certainly be on track for a holiday release date.
