Kit Harington has confirmed that he will still be featured in the sixth season of ‘Game of Thrones.’ However, the actor insists that his character Jon Snow will remain lifeless, following the events that turned out in the season five finale.

In an interview with Time Out, Harington said: "Look, I'm not in the show anymore. I'm definitely not in the new series."

When asked whether he had filmed new scenes, the 29-year-old actor jokingly said: "I filmed some scenes of me being dead… It's some of my best work!"

The London native continued to explain that he does not "have a clue" about the upcoming events in the rest of the season, saying: "I know how long I'm a corpse for, but I can't tell you that!"

Despite his appearance on set in Northern Ireland, Harington told Digital Spy that his well-loved character is certainly dead, and fans should "get used" to it.

Co-stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, and Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, along with HBO executive Michael Lombardo have also been telling fans that Jon Snow is really dead.

Meanwhile, a new behind-the-scenes footage for ‘Game of Thrones’ season six has shown fans a more detailed look into several returning characters. The five-minute clip puts the spotlight on the crew members, who are allowed to take on fun names such as Dragon Unit and Wolf Unit; it also shows images of several scenes being filmed for the new season.

'Yes we shoot some very beautiful photographs - or at least I hope we do - but to get the cameras into those positions, to overcome the challenges, and still make it look fantastic and great, that's the big thing,' ‘A’ camera operator Sean Savage explained.

While Jon Snow fans are disappointed with his absence, it is worthy to note that Lady Melisandre, played by Carice Van Houten, makes an appearance. The red priestess is considered to be the next big hope for the resurrection of the former Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.

Van Houten’s character can be seen looking strangely uneasy while the second shot of a monitor offers a look at the priestess being challenged by Davos Seaworth, played by Liam Cunningham. This could be one of the uncomfortable confrontations of the new installment because she burned his little friend, Princess Shireen, alive in the fifth season.

Other brief glimpses include Jaime Lannister, who is seemingly miserable as Coster-Waldau positions himself on the green screen backed deck of a ship. Fans have seen from the official set photos that such vessel holds the body of his daughter/niece Myrcella.

Meera Reed, played by Ellie Kendrick, has not appeared in the series since season four. Yet, she is featured in the new video as she goes out in the northern snows, rather than staying in the Three-Eyed Raven's cave.

Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), and Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman) are also briefly featured, while Jaqen H'ghar, played by Tom Wlaschiha, can be seen standing over a corpse while his face is streaked and marred, most likely to be hung up in the Hall Of Faces.

Excitement has also stirred among fans as filming for certain set pieces were also featured, such as a gruesome ambush by the Sons Of The Harpy as well as a giant Bolton army being gathered together and prepared for battle.

‘Game of Thrones’ season six makes its official premiere on April 24 on HBO.
