The last time that I reported on Jailbreaking, it was at the end of March. It is fitting, since the last iOS jailbreak that was made public was for iOS 9.1. There doesn't seem to be much progress in the way of jailbreaking as the latest version, iOS 9.3.2, released on May 16, has no jailbreak, but this could change in the near future. In fact, not only is the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2 on the way, but the now beta iOS 9.3.3 could have a jailbreaking, or this point could be made moot with the announcement and subsequent release date of iOS 10 at WWDC 2016.
If you are not familiar with the process of jailbreaking, it is negating the manufacturer's predetermined settings of the smartphone or tablet to gain more control over a device. It is a way to remove Apple's restriction, so iPhone and iPad users can enjoy access to the iOS file system and manager for downloading applications not available on the App Store. It should not be tried unless you have the technical know-how, and the release date for iOS 9.3.2 has just been teased from two sources, according to Gotta Be Mobile.
The first source is the GSMagic team, teasing a June 10 iOS 9.3.2 release date, and this team has said that they will simply quite if they cannot achieve their jailbreak by this target release date. Yeah, that is pretty serious.
Then there is a story of another user on Reddit sharing a claim of delivering the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak release date by June 11. By the way, after scrutiny and poor responses, the moderators deleted this post and repost of this topic.
Jailbreaking is one of those things that just comes when it comes, and ZDNet actually recently wrote a report saying that the age of jailbreaking is about over. The issue is that Apple knows that users are doing it and are taking steps to make certain vulnerabilities are not there. Apple doesn't like when users are undermining the security of the iOS operating system and hardware.
It is possible that someone has the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2, but might be holding it back until iOS 9.3.3, which could be coming soon, except for Apple's World Wide Developers Conference WWDC coming on June 13 through the 17. When that happens, it could be that iOS 10 could be announced, and there might not be a point of jailbreaking iOS 9.3.2 or iOS 9.3.3.
So if you are interested in Jailbreaking your iDevice, then you might want to keep it on iOS 9.1. Any iOS higher than that is considered pretty much un-jailbreakable at this present time. There is a report on Neurogadget that an Italian Developer named Luca Todesco has achieved the jailbreak of iOS 9.3.2, and we have reported on the efforts of this hacker before. As usual, he doesn't want to share this jailbreaking secret, and he has also claimed to have jailbroken the first beta of iOS 9.3.3.
