If you are not familiar with the show Married at First Sight, a typical season features three couples who agree to marry when they first meet. These couples are paired by four experts, and, after about a month of living together as a married couple, they can choose to stay together or get divorced. The show is having a good run on FYI, and even branched out its season 2 to A&E. According to the International Business Times, Season 2 of Married at First Sight ended the same way as Season 1: Two couple stayed together, while one sought divorce. For Jessica Castro and Ryan De Nino, they started off very attracted to each other and were the first couple to be intimate. They soon started fighting after that, but they worked on their communication issues and decided to remain together.
For Jaclyn Methuen and Ryan Ranellone, they were very uncertain about their upcoming decision. In the end, both of them decided to remain together, and the experts were more than pleased.
As for Davina Kullar and Sean Varricchio, they also started out very intimate, but their ending is not similar as they agreed to a divorce. It seemed like it could go either way, but Sean promised Davina he would have no regrets no matter the choice on decision day.
So I suppose the most obvious question is what is in store for Married at First Sight Season 3. I'll go ahead and start with the release date, because there really isn't one. Even When Will seems to state that the release date is To Be Announced, and doesn't even go into any detail of if there will be a third season.
To get an idea of a release date, we can look at the numbers. Season 1 of the show first aired on July 8th, 2014, airing 13 episodes until September. Season 2 began airing sooner beginning in mid-March 2015, and having its 13th episode air at the beginning of June. Given that track record, there probably won't be a Married at First Sight Season 3 until 2016, but possibly early in the Winter of that year instead of Spring or Summer.
Of course, this depends on what the network wants to do with it. The show has already had a successful spinoff with Married at First Sight: The First Year, which means that the network might want to push the premiere of the show to earlier in the year in order to capture its audience before they simply lose interest.
So with no word on the release date, there is very little to report on Married at First Sight Season 3, other than it will probably happen. It is reasonable to assume that the experts could change it up or something. As far as the cast is concerned, it could easily be any single person as FYI has an application form you can fill out. The FYI website on the show also states that there will be a six months later special so you can see how all three couples are living their lives now.
