NBA Rumors: Chicago Bulls Work On Chris Bosh Trade; Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo Campaign For Heat Star

When the Derrick Rose trade went through and the Chicago Bulls let go of one of their most beloved players to the New York Knicks, fans of the Jimmy Butler squad started to believe that change is coming in the franchise. This idea was strengthened when the team brought in Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo in the wake of the departure of both Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol. In an effort to further improve the lineup, the Chicago Bulls are expected to sign a Chris Bosh trade sometime this NBA offseason.

The Miami Heat had been coy in their comments regarding the future of Chris Bosh in the roster. With both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade off the lineup, the Goran Dragic squad looks into a rebuild centered around big man Hassan Whiteside. Hence, it comes as no surprise that a Chris Bosh trade might be in the works. Fans believe that that NBA All-Star no longer fits in the new Miami Heat plans.

This is where the Chicago Bulls come in. Throughout the years, rumors had been rife on the way Pat Riley deals with his superstars. This became evident when LeBron James opted to get out of the squad and go back to the Cleveland Cavaliers. It became even more obvious when a reportedly disrespected Dwyane Wade decided to drop the Miami Heat free agency contract and sign with the Chicago Bulls. Now, it looks like D-Wade is planning to recruit former teammate Chris Bosh in the Jimmy Butler squad. Will the Miami Heat star be worth the NBA trade?

"Put it this way, if the Chris Bosh we saw before the blood clots was a free agent, he might have been as coveted as anyone outside of Kevin Durant this offseason and assuredly would be as coveted as almost anyone next summer (perhaps in the Al Horford class this summer, the Blake Griffin class next summer)," explained Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.

The Miami Heat reporter added, "He is that respected and that productive when at the top of his game...If Chris Bosh wants to play, he will play, either for the Heat or elsewhere. And if Chris Bosh wants to play and the Heat can't or won't trade him, then his salary will continue to count against the Heat's cap and luxury tax as long as Bosh wants to play the game. While this certainly isn't a compromise that Bosh has to accept, because he is under no such obligation, but the best resolution might be for the Heat and Bosh's side to decide on an elite panel of experts in the field and allow them to sort out a resolution, sort of a medical arbitration panel."

The health issues of Chris Bosh have been hindering his NBA return for months now. While the Miami Heat and the other parties concerned have yet to officially comment on the future of the All-Star, the rumor mill keeps churning out stories on the possibility of Chris Bosh joining Dwyane Wade in the Chicago Bulls. Until the parties send a confirmation on the matter, however, everything remains speculation at this point.
