The Golden State Warriors are now regarded as the "super team" in the NBA. Following their devastating loss to LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson stepped up their roster in a major way. The addition of Kevin Durant, who spent almost a decade in the Oklahoma City Thunder, has made the Golden State Warriors the favorites to win the title next NBA season. To further secure this status, Stephen Curry and his team are said to also be eyeing the entry of Russell Westbrook this offseason as well.

The Kevin Durant free agency train stopped in the Golden State Warriors locker room following the group's move to release Harrison Barnes and Festus Ezeli in an effort to clear up the salary cap space. However, it looks like the Klay Thompson team is showing no signs of stopping as the next target for the group is yet another NBA All-Star - Russell Westbrook. How will the Golden State Warriors achieve this?

Rumors are rife that the Golden State Warriors intend to accommodate the salary of Russell Westbrook by trading Draymond Green. Only entering his second year in the five-year contract he signed with the team, Green has been the center of controversies in the 2015-16 NBA season. His feud with star player Steve Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder during the NBA playoffs 2016 placed him in negative light among fans. To make matters worse, he also had a feud with the beloved LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers during the NBA Finals.

While Green already patched things up with the players he feuded against, it looks like his troubles are not ending anytime soon. Earlier this week, the Golden State Warriors star had been charged with assault following an alleged altercation with another man in Michigan. Should the Stephen Curry team take this as a sign to finally drop Draymond Green before he brings more damage to their dream team?

"When things happen, you meet them head on," said Draymond Green of the charges against him earlier this week. He added, "My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly, As a public figure I can't put myself in certain situations. It's something that I'll learn from and move on."

Meanwhile, it looks like the Golden State Warriors will need to work fast if they truly want another All-Star in their roster. If the recent comments of Adam Silver regarding the Kevin Durant deal are to be taken into consideration, signing Russell Westbrook in a group already dubbed as a "dream team" could be quite challenging.

"Just to be absolutely clear, I do not think that's ideal from the league standpoint," said Adam Silver, referring to the move of Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors. He added, "For me, part of it is designing a collective bargaining agreement that encourages the distribution of great players throughout the league."

Silver further noted, "On the other hand, I absolutely respect a player's right to become a free agent and in this case for Kevin Durant to make a decision that he feels is best for him. I have no idea what's in his mind or heart in terms of how he went about making that decision."
