The Golden State Warriors are only one game away from becoming back to back NBA champions. While LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers are putting up a good fight, clinching an amazing Game 5 win over the Draymond Green team, the chances of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson bringing home the trophy and drinking champagne soon remain promising. However, what will happen to the Golden State Warriors next NBA season if the two-year MVP decides to go on hiatus and follow the path of Jeremy Lin? That is, what will Harrison Barnes and company do if Curry leaves the team to lead a quieter and less intense NBA life?

Pretty much like Stephen Curry today, Jeremy Lin was the life of the hardwood court in his days with the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks. His incredible three-point shots kept his teams alive in crucial games, thereby earning him the moniker Linsanity. However, Linsanity eventually died down due to much pressure from the teams and fans - factors that led Jeremy Lin to opt for a quiet and smaller town as his next NBA destination.

Will this be the same situation for Stephen Curry? The star player of the Golden State Warriors carry in his shoulders the responsibility of bringing home a championship. For every victory he achieves for his NBA team, his haters appear to multiply. Fans of more traditional basketball stars, such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard, criticized Stephen Curry and his brand of basketball. Will these factors eventually push the MVP off the bigger market to pursue a quieter life with his family and close friends?

Moreover, the injuries of Stephen Curry are rumored to be costing the Golden State Warriors too much risks. With his shoulder and legs reportedly in danger of succumbing to the hits they take in the hardwood court, the NBA MVP can quickly become a liability for the group. Will these convince him to choose a less stressful environment for the next season?

The answer is in the negative. Curry himself debunked the rumors that he is in grave danger due to his injuries. While the Golden State Warriors star acknowledges his limitation, he remains positive that he will be capable of performing his duties until the end of their battle against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"I can't even keep a straight face for whoever said I needed shoulder surgery and all that other stuff," shared Curry. He added, "We've got bumps and bruises, but everything is going to be all right."

In addition, it looks like the Golden State Warriors have no intention of letting Curry carry all the burden in winning the championship. Unlike Jeremy Lin, who became the scapegoat for James Harden and Carmelo Anthony, the 2015-16 NBA champs are eager to back up the Splash Brothers in carrying their group to victory.

"So the eyes are on those two guys. It's going to be a story if one guy plays well and the other one doesn't," said Andre Iguodala of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. He added, "And one team has to lose, and one of those guys is going to get the blame. For us, it's trying to make life as easy for him as possible, because he does the same for us. I wouldn't have a championship ring, I wouldn't have the accolades that I've had since I've been with this team without that guy on our team."
