NBA Rumors: Golden State Warriors Target Seth Curry Trade; Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant Rejoice Over SG Deal

The Golden State Warriors are expected to become one of the most polarizing teams in the NBA next season due to the addition of Kevin Durant in the group led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. With the Oklahoma City Thunder roster left with only one NBA All-Star in Russell Westbrook and the San Antonio Spurs entering the season without Tim Duncan, the Western Conference seems to be a sure win for the Dub Nation. While the likes of Dion Waiters, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Danny Green scramble to create teams strong enough to battle the Golden State Warriors, it looks like more Stephen Curry reinforcements are coming as a Seth Curry trade is said to be in the works.

The former Sacramento Kings star, who provided a strong support system for DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Rajon Rondo, was signed by the Dallas Mavericks via the NBA free agency. While the younger Curry has yet to adjust in the Dirk Nowitzki squad, it looks like he might be on the move again this offseason. Sources claim that the Golden State Warriors are pushing for a Seth Curry trade soon.

Although the presence of Seth Curry in the hardwood court is not as strong as that of big brother Stephen Curry, the Dallas Mavericks star is considered a promising player in the NBA today. Despite his lack of star power at the moment, fans believe that the younger Curry will be as influential as his brother in the Golden State Warriors. Moreover, his playing style and resilience show potential - factors that attracted the Dallas Mavericks to the young NBA star.

"He can get buckets and he can shoot," shared Mark Cuban of Seth Curry in an interview. The Dallas Mavericks owner added, "You know, he's been in some dysfunctional situations, and I think he'll be able to thrive with us. He can get his shot off, and he can do a lot more."

Cuban is referring to the situation in the Sacramento Kings where Seth Curry had to reportedly endure the treatment of George Karl. While then teammate DeMarcus Cousins stood up for the younger brother of the Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, the comments of the head coach proved to serve as a challenge. In the later games of the Sacramento Kings, Seth Curry emerged as a legit star who can carry the team in the crucial moments of games.

"Well, he had good games against us last year and he shot it well," said Rick Carlisle of Seth Curry. The Dallas Mavericks head coach added, "In our games against Sacramento, for different reasons he got a lot of minutes, shot the ball well, and we like him. We feel like he's one of these younger guys that has a chance to really take a bit of a quantum leap up, so we're going to work hard with him."

Given the comments of the Dallas Mavericks execs and coaching staff, it appears that a Seth Curry trade to the Golden State Warriors might be a long shot this NBA offseason. However, the regular season is still months away and it remains to be seen if Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green can pry the former Sacramento Kings star away from the Dirk Nowitzki squad.
