The Charlotte Hornets are riding high on their NBA playoffs 2016 achievement. With the Kemba Walker squad making it as one of the best teams in the Cleveland Cavaliers led Eastern Conference, fans of the group are eager to see how Courtney Lee and his crew fare with the likes of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. In addition to the concerns on how the Charlotte Hornets will outperform the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks, a more pressing matter is alarming the fans of the team - the seemingly endless discrimination acts against Jeremy Lin.

The Christian star, who rose to fame in the New York Knicks, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, has been suffering from racism related issues since the start of the NBA season. Despite the rise of Linsanity in the hardwood court, a previous Gospel Herald report revealed that guards in the league still fail to recognize him. Although Lin simply shrugs off the issue, his fans refuse to ignore the concern. In a video uploaded by his fans, the "flagrant hard fouls" on the Linsanity were compared to those suffered by other NBA players.

"As fans of the NBA and its players, we care deeply about the quality and integrity of the game and the safety of the players," the fans told Adam Silver in their statement regarding Lin's situation. They added, "When we see dubious officiating by the NBA referees, we cannot help but question the integrity of the game at its very core."

Calling the attention of the NBA commissioner, the fans sought his assistance in looking into the matter. They added that the situation is getting out of hand and Lin has suffered from too many fouls without these getting called. The fans described "Lin's mistreatment" as "disheartening," pointing out that the NBA referees are failing to accomplish their tasks at hand.

They wrote, "Throughout Lin's six years in the NBA, we have continuously witnessed Lin as the recipient of numerous hard fouls with unnecessary and excessive force by other players. In these cases, the referees either didn't make the calls or made incorrect calls."

For his part, the Linsanity shared that the video made him see the on-court issues clearly. The Charlotte Hornets star admitted that the "heat of the game" frequently takes his focus away from the injuries. However, Lin shared a secret to his success in the hardwood court. That is, the Linsanity decided to not question the referees during games.

"I don't really see what the other flagrants are," admitted Lin when asked about the fouls. He added, "That video puts it next to some other ones. I don't know. I just know this is my experience, and I never thought, oh these fouls, I should be getting flagrant fouls. When you're in the heat of the game, how it looks isn't always how it feels. I'm going through everything and you take contact every play."
