NBA Rumors: OKC Russell Westbrook Wants Jeremy Lin Trade; Steven Adams, Enes Kanter Need Linsanity

The Oklahoma City Thunder are expected to go back with a vengeance in the 2016-17 NBA season following the exit of their once beloved Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors. With the 2014 MVP now with the "super team" of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, fans anticipate how Russell Westbrook plans to retaliate. Reports indicate that the Enes Kanter squad is currently looking into forming their own alpha team. However, the catch is that the group might be composed of underdogs instead of hailed heroes of the NBA.

One of the most widely known underdogs is Jeremy Lin. Despite his Linsanity era, the Harvard alum was still shuffled around the league and worked for a number of NBA teams including the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets. Moreover, Jeremy Lin was relegated the backup role in the Charlotte Hornets regardless of his notable performances against the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

"I hate to see him go, but at the same time I'm definitely happy for him," said Kemba Walker of Jeremy Lin. The Charlotte Hornets star further noted, "He deserves to be a starter in this league. He's such a great player and he proved that last season. There were games where I was off and he carried the team."

While the Brooklyn Nets promised Jeremy Lin a starting role, rumors are rife that BrookLyn might not be the ideal situation for the Asian star. This puts the Oklahoma City Thunder in the picture. Speculations are going around that Russell Westbrook, the NBA All-Star set to beat the "super team" of Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green in the Golden State Warriors, plans to campaign for a Jeremy Lin trade. Can this really happen?

"When I turn on the TV and I watch players play, the player that plays with the same kind of emotion and grit and competitive intensity is Russell [Westbrook]," shared Kobe Bryant of Russell Westbrook. The Los Angeles Lakers icon added, "Russell is going hard. Doesn't matter who he is playing against, doesn't matter what the odds are, he's going, that's a guy, he is going 110 percent every single time."

At the moment, the parties concerned have yet to officially comment on a potential Jeremy Lin trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder courtesy of Russell Westbrook. Currently, Linsanity is gearing up for another Jeremy Lin era with the Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile, the Steven Adams squad is looking into ways to defeat the "super team" of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors.
