The Sacramento Kings suffered a heartbreaking race to the NBA playoffs 2016. The dream to make to the top of the Golden State Warriors dominated Western Conference was marred by rifts courtesy of DeMarcus Cousins and George Karl as well as controversies involving former Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo. However, a silver lining might just have appeared for the Sacramento Kings. While the Rudy Gay squad failed to reach their dream of unseating the Draymond Green team, another Stephen Curry appears to be in the making.

As the basketball team attempted to claw its way up by looking into ways to defeat the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors, an unexpected star rose from the bench - Seth Curry. Previously only known as the less talented brother of the great Stephen Curry, the Sacramento Kings star proved that he can be as good as his MVP sibling. With his recent performances in the hardwood court, Seth Curry managed to attract attention - the type that could potentially land him a higher pay in a more organized team.

"I think he's a basketball player," said Karl of Seth. The Sacramento Kings head coach added, "He's a feisty defender. He wants to be an NBA player. He's driven. He's a pro."

Even teammates Cousins and Rondo noted the talent of the rising Sacramento Kings star. The former Boston Celtics star noted that the younger Curry is a "hard worker." Rondo shared, "Seth is a hard worker, hard work always pays off. He's definitely a shooter, he can pass the ball, he can do a lot of things. He had a couple tear drops that was nice tonight as well so sky's the limit for Seth. He's young and like I said, the way he works you never know what he can do."

Meanwhile, Cousins shared his confidence that Seth will reap the rewards of his talent and perseverance soon. The Sacramento Kings big man added that the younger brother of the Golden State Warriors phenomenon has a "bright future" in store for him in the NBA.

Cousins said, "I think he's going to have a bright future, hard worker, never gets down on himself, he's a confident player. The biggest thing is he's a hard worker so I think he'll always have a spot in this league."

With the rise of his name in the NBA, rumors are now circulating that Seth will leave the Sacramento Kings soon. Given that he would be a free agent soon, there is a huge possibility that the rising star could opt out of his contract with the team. Moreover, talks of his possible team-up with Stephen Curry are rife especially in light of the Golden State Warriors healthy cap space. Amid all these speculations, the younger Curry chooses to study his options first.

"I think I've played pretty well and showed some different things in my game that will set me up for the future to show I can be a good player in this league for a long time," said Seth when asked of his future in the NBA. He added, "As of right now I'm just trying to continue to play well and set myself for good stuff in the future."
