The Golden State Warriors are on the brink of losing all they accomplished in the 2015-16 regular season all thanks to the Oklahoma City Thunder. As Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green figure out ways to prevent Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant from undoing their historic NBA season, another devastating news seem to hit the champions. Reports are circulating that this might be the last season of Steve Kerr with the Golden State Warriors.

Earlier this NBA season, the celebrated coach took a break to mend his back problems. The weeks he stayed off the hardwood court gave Luke Walton the chance to take over the Golden State Warriors - a feat that eventually placed the younger coach in the spotlight and under consideration for a head coach post for the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. At the moment, Walton is confirmed to take the reigns from Byron Scott and hopefully bring back the Jordan Clarkson squad into its old form during the Kobe Bryant era.

With the NBA playoffs 2016 in full swing, the pressure has undoubtedly gotten not only among the players of the Golden State Warriors but also in the coaching staff. Hence, it is possible that the Kerr's condition worsened. Could this NBA season's end get any worse for the Stephen Curry team? Is this the end of their short-lived dominance in the hardwood court?

The answer is in the negative. In his recent interviews and time off the hardwood court, Kerr appeared energized and ready for another NBA season. Moreover, his health showed with the way he discussed the Game 7 plan of the Golden State Warriors to finally defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder and face off against LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

"What stands out the most is our team's grit and hanging in there after being blown out twice in Oklahoma City," shared Kerr of the Golden State Warriors. He added, "To show that kind of heart and grit was great."

Meanwhile, the departure of Luke Walton from the Golden State Warriors to the Los Angeles Lakers is another crucial matter to be dealt with by the Stephen Curry squad. While the Klay Thompson team figure out how to deal with this loss, Kerr opts to look at the matter lightly. In his typical fashion, the Golden State Warriors head coach joked about the exit of Walton from the NBA team.

"I'm gonna say it's too bad you don't have Steph and Klay and Draymond anymore. You're on your own, pal," said Kerr of his message for Walton.

With Walton's exit, a number of names came up as a potential replacement. One of the names thrown in the list is Rebecca "Becky" Hammon from the San Antonio Spurs. A former WNBA star, Hammon works side by side Gregg Popovich in training the Kawhi Leonard squad. Needless to say, she will be an amazing replacement for Walton in the Golden State Warriors coaching staff. That is, if the reported offer gets finalized.

"I would say she's a heck of a coach," said Popovich of Hammon. The San Antonio Spurs head coach added, "I rely on her advice. Everybody knows how competitive she is. She understands the game. She has a high basketball IQ. She understands what wins and what loses."

What do you think? Will Steve Kerr really retire? Is Becky Hammon the perfect replacement for Luke Walton? Will Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs let her go to work with the Golden State Warriors?
