The Seattle Seahawks will be entering the NFL pre-season games not only with newly minted additions to the remarkable team but also with a returning star dubbed as a "survivor." Following the news that Jesse Williams, the defensive tackle of the Seattle Seahawks, was diagnosed with Papillary Type 2 cancer, fans and followers of the NFL team have been saddened by the tragic loss.

It appears, however, that the fighting spirit of Williams in terms of winning NFL games is only matched by his intense desire to make his comeback in the Seattle Seahawks locker room.

With sheer effort and determination, the Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle remained in the sidelines and worked out along with his teammates. While he initially contented himself with this routine, he eventually got the go signal from his doctors that joining light practices alongside Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson in the Seattle Seahawks field in June would not be detrimental to his recovery.

Since then, he has progressively moved on to more intensive workouts. With the upcoming game of the Seattle Seahawks against the Denver Broncos in the NFL pre-season, Williams is now ready to make his official return to the playing field.

"He has never, never hinted that he wouldn't make it back and get ready," shared Peter Carroll, the coach of the Seattle Seahawks. He added, "He's practiced well. He'll play-we'll control the number of snaps that he plays-but he's going to be out there battling. I think it's a great tribute to the kid. He's a real competitor."

While it will be exciting to see how well Williams performs against the Denver Broncos, another thing fans of the Seattle Seahawks are eager to see is the promise of a notable inclusion of Jimmy Graham in the NFL team's game play. Coming off from a surprising trade from the New Orleans Saints, the now Seattle Seahawks tight end is thrilled to be given the chance to play with "best team in football."

"I'd done a lot in New Orleans and we'd won a lot of games, but once (Payton) said 'Seattle' it kind of slanted my mind quite a bit," Graham shared, referring to his reaction to the news that he was being traded to the Seattle Seahawks. He went on to say, "Yes, I was being traded, but I was going to the best team in football. So for me I saw it as a blessing, an opportunity to play with the hottest team in the NFL." The former New Orleans Saints tight end shared that his excitement over the news of his transfer is partly due to his curiosity with regard the possibility of learning what makes the Seattle Seahawks "different" and  his desire "to see what they were doing here that kind of separated them from the rest of the league."

With his height, the Seattle Seahawks will definitely gain an advantage as quarterback Russell Wilson will constantly know Graham's position without straining himself to figure it out. The New Orleans Saints' ex-tight end could also use his bulk to block for Marshawn Lynch and hopefully, boost the Seattle Seahawks' chances of bagging the Super Bowl trophy this time around.

As for early betting odds in terms of who might win the NFL MVP Award, sources share that Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks have good chances of bagging the title this season. Battling it out with the two NFL stars are Odell Beckham, Jr., Tony Romo and Dez Bryant. At the moment, the holder of the NFL MVP trophy is Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.
