NFL Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Joey Bosa Trade In The Works; Tony Romo, Dez Bryant Lure DE With High Pay

The Dallas Cowboys appear to be poised to get the NFL draft prospect they missed out on. Jerry Jones, who is known to be more than willing to spend for players he deem fit to join his roster, might just get Joey Bosa from right under the nose of the San Diego Chargers. Given the contract stalemate between the NFL star pegged as the next JJ Watt and his team, the Dallas Cowboys seem to be on the verge of luring the rookie to play alongside Tony Romo and Dez Bryant next season.

Even prior to the 2016 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys had been open to their desire to sign Joey Bosa. While fate pushed the Ohio State defensive end to the San Diego Chargers, it looks like Jerry Jones still found a way to get what he wants. Rumors are rife that the contract issue between the rookie and the NFL team has not been resolved until today due to disagreements over the monetary terms. With this in mind, the Dallas Cowboys owner might reportedly just swoop in and offer Bosa a lucrative contract and the San Diego Chargers a good deal.

"We're disappointed he's not here," said Tom Telesco of Joey Bosa's absence in mini-camp. The San Diego Chargers general manager added, "This is a big part of the learning process for all players, not just rookies. But there is part of a business to this too, and we understand that. It's part of being a professional athlete."

Telesco further noted, "I'll say the time he's been here, (we've) been really impressed by not only his ability, but his work ethic. That's been great. But that all being said, we've got to treat all of our players the same. That's the big thing. We can't do one thing different for one guy and the same for 89 others. These things tend to get worked out. It's June, and we'll just keep going."

The issue between the San Diego Chargers and Joey Bosa stems from the guaranteed money offered. Sources close to the matter reveal that Bosa and his camp expects a guaranteed salary for the rookie in the first four seasons he will have in the NFL. The clincher is that Bosa wants to get the money even if her gets released before the contract expires. For the part of the San Diego Chargers, they want that to still have the right to recover the cash in accordance with the terms they usually give their rookies.
