The Dallas Cowboys are busy making sure that their devastating NFL season will not be repeated. With the health of Tony Romo proving to be fragile yet crucial to the success of the Dez Bryant team, measures were taken to guarantee a smooth-sailing operation next season. In addition to signing Dak Prescott as fresh quarterback talent, the Dallas Cowboys also took in the promising Ezekiel Elliot to take over the running back post. However, an even more exciting player appears to be poised to sign with the team - Tim Tebow.

An online petition has made the rounds to call on NFL teams to sign Tim Tebow. With the obvious need of the Dallas Cowboys for another veteran presence and a player who can improve their image following their stint with Greg Hardy and eventual link with Johnny Manziel, fans believe that there is no other man better for the job than Tebow. The Christian star, who has been widely loved and respected in the NFL, might just be the best quarterback sub option for Tony Romo.

"At the end of the day, it's all about Tony's health," shared Stephen Jones when asked to discuss the plans for the Dallas Cowboys. The exec added, "We've got to keep him healthy."

Meanwhile, Jones discussed how Elliot will be an asset to the Dallas Cowboys. More importantly, the NFL team owner shared why they decided to sign the young running back. Aside from the obvious gridiron skills of Elliot, Jones noted that the rookie will be valuable in keeping Romo healthy and safe in the field.

"Obviously run the football," said Jones of their strategies. He added, "The other thing, when you've got a veteran quarterback who is a big student of the game, he can certainly move Zeke around and get the right matchups. You put him there in the backfield, they're going to have to respect the run. They can't necessarily throw their nickel and dime packages in if he is in the backfield, knowing with our offensive line and what he can do as a runner, that can certainly change the game."

At the moment, the Dallas Cowboys have yet to reach out to Tim Tebow for the backup quarterback job. With the NFL offseason just starting, the former Heisman Trophy winner is keeping himself busy helping younger athletes understand their purpose beyond the sports they plan to pursue. In the recently concluded The Greenville News' Upstate Sports Awards program, Tebow shared his two cents on how the young athletes can become more than just sportsmen and women.

"Focus on who you can be, and allow the platform that sport gives you to impact other people," advised Tebow to the young athletes. He added, "You are changing other people's lives for better or worse, every day. Be bigger than sports. Don't just be an athlete - be more than an athlete."
