The Green Bay Packers seem to be losing steam this NFL season in light of their third place ranking in the NFC North. Trailing behind the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings, a number of reasons could be noted as the causes of their failure to rise this time. Among these possibilities is the fact that Aaron Rodgers appears to be overworked. While the veteran quarterback has yet to complain about his workload, it is no secret that the Eddie Lacy team needs to find a good backup for him soon.

So far, the only feasible options for the Green Bay Packers include signing a Michael Vick contract or a Johnny Manziel deal. With these possibilities, the front office seemed to have abstained from making a decision regarding the necessity for an Aaron Rodgers sub. However, it looks like the Philadelphia Eagles could have the solution to their woes.

Rumors are rife that a Carson Wentz trade is on the table for the Philadelphia Eagles. After a drama filled draft and preseason, the rookie seems to be failing to meet the expectations of the fans. Moreover, the coaching staff of the Philadelphia Eagles appears to be having a difficult time molding the young quarterback into the leader they envisioned. With these in mind, fans believe that a Carson Wentz team could be in the works.

When the NFL teams caught wind of the possibility of the quarterback being on the market, a number of them stepped forward to work out a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. The football squads eager to strike a Carson Wentz trade included the Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and New York Jets. However, it looks like the Green Bay Packers might have caught the fancy of the young quarterback.

"For a while, I thought he seemed totally unflappable. Now, in some of the more recent losses, do you sense that, 'OK, he's feeling this one. He's feeling this one.'? Yeah. We're all feeling it. And I think he was that young, naive but still a very mature guy who came in and it was like, nothing is going to get this guy down. But it wears on you," revealed an offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles of Carson Wentz.

Among the quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers has been known to be an outspoken admirer of Carson Wentz. Earlier this year, the Green Bay Packers veteran shared his enthusiasm over the skills of the Philadelphia Eagles star.

"He's been playing really well. He's taking care of the football and making good decisions. Watching him and some of the throws he had late against Washington was really impressive. He can throw from numerous platforms with his feet in different spots. Obviously, he has a big-time arm," said Aaron Rodgers of Carson Wentz's performance in the NFL.

At the moment, no official comment has been provided by the parties linked to the NFL trade rumor. However, fans of the Green Bay Packers are eager to see how the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback could help their beloved Aaron Rodgers if the deal does go through.
