It looks like a potential football reunion will happen in Dallas soon. To be more specific, the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly gunning for the possible return of DeMarco Murray. With the running back struggling to adjust to the Philadelphia Eagles roster and plays, fans are hopeful that the Tony Romo team will welcome him back instead. Apart from the rumors that Murray might part ways with the Sam Bradford squad, Dez Bryant himself appeared to have confirmed that talks pertaining to the running back are ongoing.

Taking his stand on the situation to social media, Bryant tagged Murray, Romo and Jason Witten in his tweet. He wrote, @JasonWitten @tonyromo @DeMarcoMurray come on homeD.Moe #cowboys." As of this writing, the Dallas Cowboys head coach and quarterback have yet to respond. However, fans are optimistic that the Philadelphia Eagles running back will return to his roots soon. Moreover, reports disclosed that Murray is currently building a house in Dallas - another hint of what could be the football version of the "prodigal son."

Further fueling the speculations of Murray's exit from the Philadelphia Eagles are the sources who claim to be close to the matter. These insiders reveal both parties are "unhappy" with the current arrangement. While a trade is possible, it will be costly for everyone concerned.

"Murray was very unhappy last season, reportedly going to owner Jeffrey Lurie and complaining about coach Chip Kelly and the touch distribution," said Will Brinson of CBS Sports. He added, "Despite Kelly being fired and Doug Pederson replacing him, Murray reportedly still isn't happy."

Ian Rapoport, the National Insider for the NFL network, disclosed that the parties concerned are considering a trade. While this may be very expensive for the Philadelphia Eagles, it is said that the NFL team will stand to gain more if they simply release the running back. Rapoport further noted that the Dallas Cowboys are the frontrunners for this potential deal.

"The message teams are receiving this week: DeMarco Murray still not happy in Philly. Trading him will be difficult, but #Eagleswill listen," disclosed Rapoport via Twitter. He went on to share, "DeMarco Murray's affinity for DAL is evident. So is his $13M cap hit for #Eagles. Plenty to work out. Teams know his situation is unsettled."

In his NFL.com report, Rapoport further shared that the Philadelphia Eagles and Murray are engaged in a "stare-down" with respect the running back's future with the NFL team. Rapoport said, "Murray doesn't feel completely comfortable with the organization, his role and how 2015 played out. He was a target for fans' angst, and it never improved on the field." Moreover, the former Dallas Cowboys reportedly disappointed in the past NFL season - a fact that pushed the Mark Sanchez squad to rethink their move of signing an expensive player in the roster.
